President Trump announces a new immigration “Gold Card” that will be sold to immigrants for $5 million.
Genius. This will potentially knock trillions off our national debt. The projection is that approximately a million people are going to buy it

The Gold Card is a premium version of a Green Card, according to Trump, and will provide immigrants with a pathway to citizenship.
“We’re gonna be selling a gold card. You have a green card, this is a gold card. We’re gonna be putting a price on that card of about $5 million and that’s gonna give you green card privileges plus…”
“It’s gonna be a route to citizenship. And wealthy people will be coming into our country by buying this card.”
“They’ll be wealthy and they’ll be successful and they’ll be spending a lot of money and paying a lot of taxes and employing a lot of people.”

Trump says in the next two weeks the United States will be selling a “Gold Card”. A $5M purchasable green card that will allow you to work in this country and have a route to citizenship.
This would be replacing the EB-5 program. Gold Card recipients would be vetted. Instead of green card lotteries they want to help eliminate the deficit by letting people buy their way in. This attracts money, job creators, high level talent, and companies will have to spend money who want to invest in high level global talent.
There wont be any tax on income outside of the United States and they’ll pay full tax on income in the United States.
Trump anticipates they may be able to sell a million cards which would be $5T and if they hypothetically sold 10M cards that would be $50T which would eliminate the national debt.
This is completely in compliance with the law and doesn’t need Congressional approval because it’s a green card, not full citizenship.
Trump believes it could help eliminate the debt. Many countries do this, including Canada (The 51st state).

WASHINGTON — President Trump announced Tuesday that the US government will soon begin selling $5 million “gold cards” that convey green-card residency status and a path to citizenship for foreigners — predicting 1 million cards will be sold and that the initiative could quickly pay down the national debt.
“It’s somewhat like a green card, but at a higher level of sophistication. It’s a road to citizenship for people, and essentially people of wealth or people of great talent,” Trump said in the Oval Office.
“We’re going to be putting a price on that card of about $5 million and that’s going to give you green card privileges-plus,” the president added as he rolled out the plan to a group of journalists.
“They’ll be wealthy and they’ll be successful, and they’ll be spending a lot of money and paying a lot of taxes and employing a lot of people.”
Trump claimed that the initiative had been approved by administration lawyers and will launch in roughly “two weeks.”
