Meet Activist Democrat Judge John McConnell Jr., a radical ideologue in a robe who has no business on the bench. John J. McConnell, Jr., chief judge of the U.S. district court in Rhode Island, ordered the Trump administration to “immediately restore frozen funding” after determining officials violated his prior restraining order and suggesting further opposition could result in criminal charges.
A federal appeals court panel on Tuesday rejected the Trump administration’s bid to halt a Rhode Island district court judge’s ruling that blocked the federal funds freeze. This latest loss for the administration is not the final word in the case as litigation continues.
After McConnell’s order came down on Monday, the government filed a notice of appeal saying it’s challenging the restraining order as well as the order granting the motion to enforce it at the federal appeals court, which is one step below the Supreme Court.

In his Facebook post, which I have screen recorded, archived, and posted below, he said, “So proud of Catherine”.
This is the same Judge who just ordered Elon Musk and President Trump to UNFREEZE the federal funds they froze to cut government waste and fraud.
The federal judge failed to disclose that his daughter was appointed by Joe Biden and currently works at the Department of Education as a Senior Policy Advisor. Trump and DOGE have said they want to DEFUND the Department of Education.
Judge McConnell has a personal and financial conflict of interest and must immediately RECUSE HIMSELF!
Judge Blocking White House Spending Freeze Called Trump ‘Tyrant’ in 2021 Anti-White Tirade.

U.S. District Court Judge John McConnell—who issued an order blocking a move by President Donald J. Trump to freeze federal grant spending earlier this month— has been exposed as a far-left, anti-Trump radical in a recently resurfaced 2021 video. In the video, posted to YouTube, Judge McConnell can be seen going on an anti-white and anti-Trump tirade while being interviewed by Dr. Thomas López, the Head of School at the Gordon School—a politically progressive day school in Rhode Island.
Judge McConnell defends judicial lawfare aimed at hampering the efforts of the first Trump White House, comparing the America First leader’s policies to the Jim Crow laws. “So, why should you care? You should care because we’re the only things that stand in between an oppressive, arbitrary government and actions by individuals, or by the majority,” McConnell contends in the interview. He continues: “Oftentimes, I mean when we saw the Jim Crow laws and whatnot, where courts stand and enforce the rule of law against arbitrary and capricious actions by what could be a tyrant, or what we’ve seen plenty of examples of that recently. And it enforces our values.”
“Our values, in a legal sense, are the Constitution. It’s for that reason, and we saw there are plenty of examples of history, and there’s plenty of examples over the last four years where it’s the courts that kept that balloon from bursting when it was challenged,” the U.S. District Court Judge claimed.
ANTI-WHITE SENTENCING.
In another exchange with Dr. López, Judge McConnell appears to admit he engages in race-based sentencing policies that are purposefully biased against middle-class whites. “When you’re sentencing someone, you have to take a moment and realize that this middle-class, white, male, privileged person needs to understand the human being that comes before us,” McConnell says, continuing: “That may be a woman, may be black, may be transgender, may be poor, may be rich, may be whatever—may have experiences that are not yours.”
“And you have to walk in their shoes and understand that the law applies to them where they are. And then you have to apply the law accordingly,” the U.S. District Court Judge concludes.
Going further, Judge McConnell argues racial diversity should take precedence in judicial appointments. “President Obama had a great track record of ensuring racial diversity amongst the bench. President Trump, not so much,” he states. ” I don’t think he appointed a single person of color as a Court of Appeals judge and very few people to the district court.”
“So, I’m hoping that President Biden will prioritize racial diversity on the bench as well because if you don’t have a diversity of thought, then the courts aren’t going to work right,” Judge McConnell added, despite the fact that ethnic diversity is by no means synonymous with diversity of thought.
