In an extraordinary show of support, 500 Navy SEALs, veterans, and other advocates are preparing to march in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday morning as Pete Hegseth, a combat veteran and President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, attends his Senate confirmation hearing. The march will commence at the Vietnam Memorial Wall at 9 a.m. EST and will proceed to various iconic war memorials, including the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the D.C. War Memorial, and the World War II Memorial. The event will culminate near Capitol Hill, where military leaders and prominent supporters are expected to deliver remarks. Participants plan to carry American flags throughout the peaceful demonstration.
