Matthew Graves, the U.S. Attorney responsible for prosecuting cases related to the January 6 Capitol attack, has announced his resignation.
Graves targeted anyone near the Capitol on J6.
The DOJ bragged in the press release about the government’s scalp count for its unprecedented prosecution of Jan 6 election fraud protesters. Graves’ charging and sentencing documents routinely mention a J6 defendant’s views on 2020 election and social media posts critical of Democrats as incriminating evidence against them.

Graves must be arrested and tried.
Matthew Graves, the DOJ attorney accused of targeting Trump supporters, has resigned effective Jan. 16, 2025, just days before Donald Trump retakes office.
Graves has been accused of leading politically charged prosecutions following January 6, with tragic consequences for some individuals. Calls for accountability intensify, with many demanding investigations into alleged misconduct and treason.
His deputy, Bridget Fitzpatrick, will step in as Acting U.S. Attorney. With over 15 years in federal law enforcement, she has played a key role in the office’s high-profile cases. Graves, calling the role “the honor of a lifetime,” thanked Congresswoman Holmes Norton, President Biden, and AG Garland for their support.

Biden’s Weaponized J6 Prosecutor Reportedly Resigns

US Attorney Matthew Graves – who presided over the prosecution and imprisonment of hundreds of Jan. 6 defendants – has reportedly resigned, according to journalist Julie Kelly.
Graves, appointed by President Biden in November 2021, notably declined to halt proceedings against J6 defendants until President-elect Donald Trump is sworn in next month.
As Kelly wrote in May,
The DOJ bragged in the press release about the government’s scalp count for its unprecedented prosecution of Jan 6 protesters. “More than 1,424 individuals have been charged in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol,” Matthew Graves, the Joe Biden-appointed U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, boasted. The investigation into the four-hour disturbance, Graves warned, is “ongoing.”
Indeed. The DOJ, astonishingly, is on pace to arrest one J6 protester a day this year; Graves has stated his intention to bring the total caseload to at least 2,000 defendants before the statute of limitations expires.
