Yahya Sinwar had an aggressive brain cancer years ago. He was operated in Israel 🇮🇱 and received extensive treatment, leading to his full recovery. All paid by Israeli taxpayer.
Poetic justice that his life ends by his brain blowing up. pic.twitter.com/1ziJ96P5q8

Israel is investigating whether Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar has been killed after an operation in the Gaza Strip, with official confirmation expected in the coming hours.
Senior Israeli officials said security sources consider there to be a ‘high probability’ that Sinwar was eliminated, Israeli news outlet N12 reports.
It comes as graphic images have circulated online purporting to show the body of the terrorist leader.

By Barney Henderson AND Amir Daftari, Newsweek, October 17, 2024;
The Israeli military has said it is checking the possibility that Hamas leader and mastermind of the Oct. 7 attacks, Yahya Sinwar, has been killed.
ADVERTISEMENT“Initial report – During IDF operations in the Gaza Strip, three terrorists were eliminated. The IDF and ISA are checking the possibility that one of the terrorists was Yahya Sinwar. At this stage, the identity of the terrorists cannot be confirmed,” the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement reported by The Jerusalem Post.
“In the building where the terrorists were eliminated, there were no signs of the presence of hostages in the area. The forces that are operating in the area are continuing to operate with the required caution.”

Sinwar was widely credited as being the architect behind Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel that ignited the war in Gaza.
Since 2017, Sinwar served as Hamas’ leader in the Gaza Strip. Before that position, Sinwar was head of Al-Majd, a Hamas security force that investigates suspected Israeli agents.
