Kamala Harris heckled by protestors at Houston rally

ADVERTISEMENTVice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris’s rally was not without its kinks and fireworks Friday evening with unexpected protests and festive fanfare to mask the disruptions.
Moments after Harris took the stage, a rally-goer donning a shirt that featured former president Donald Trump’s face held up four fingers. A string of boos instantly broke out where the man was standing, and he was pulled out of the crowd moments later.
Simultaneously, among the crowd of rallygoers sitting on the ground near the stage, a group of what appeared to be pro-Palestinan protestors emerged. Several were holding posters, and one was waving a small Palestinian flag as they marched toward the exit.
“We’ve got work to do,” Harris said in response. She encouraged people not to get distracted.

It was not the first time Harris was interrupted by pro-Palestinina protestors on the campaign trail. She had a similar incident at a rally in Detroit, Michigan, suggesting the war in Gaza remains a salient issue among voters across the country.
