The European Union and Europe, for that matter, exists because of Americans fighting and dying to defeat the evil forces of totalitarianism. It was the extraordinary freedoms that Americans enjoyed as freely as the very air we breathe that saved Europe (that and the post war Marshall Plan.) So it’s not a little ironic that the Reich’s intellectual heirs would threaten one of our greatest Americans exercising his First amendment rights.
The European Union just issued a letter to Elon Musk demanding that he censor Donald Trump in their upcoming interview. Threatening him with “legal obligations” if he fails to stop the “disinformation.”
Elon’s interview with President Trump will be on X at 8 pm tonight. WATCH IT.
Europeans are interfering in American elections
“This notably means ensuring, on one hand, that freedom of expression and of information, including media freedom and pluralism, are effectively protected and, on the other hand, that all proportionate and effective mitigation measures are put in place regarding the amplification of harmful content in connection with relevant events, including live streaming. which, if unaddressed, might increase the risk profile of X and generate detrimental effects on civic discourse and public security. This is important against the background of recent examples of public unrest brought about by the amplification of content that promotes hatred, disorder, incitement to violence, or certain instances of disinformation.”

X is the future of the marketplace of ideas and freedom of speech.
Freedom of speech is the foundation of a free society. Without it, a tyrant can wreak havoc unopposed, while his opponents are silenced. Putting up with being offended is essential in a pluralistic society in which people differ on basic truths. If a group will not bear being offended without resorting to violence, that group will rule unopposed while everyone else lives in fear, while other groups curtail their activities to appease the violent group. This results in the violent group being able to tyrannize the others.
If speech that offends a group is outlawed, that group has absolute power, and a free society is destroyed. A group that cannot be criticized cannot be opposed. It can work its will no matter what it is, and no one will be able to say anything to stop it.
The antidote to bad speech is more speech. But the left cannot permit the free exchange of ideas because their failed ideas cannot stand up to scrutiny and challenge.
Inoffensive speech needs no protection. The First Amendment was developed precisely in order to protect speech that was offensive to some, in order to prevent those who had power from claiming they were offended by speech opposing them and silencing the powerless.
A free society is by its nature one in which people put up with others being uncivil and offensive. The alternative is a quiet authoritarian society in which only one opinion is allowed and the others are silenced, and ultimately sent to the camps.
NY Sun: Billionaire businessman Elon Musk is set to interview President Trump tonight in an “unscripted” and “no limits” conversation.
The interview, scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. EST, will be streamed on the 45th presidents page on X.
Trump, who was banned from X, previously known as Twitter, in 2021 by the platform’s former chief executive, Jack Dorsey, after the January 6 Capitol riot, had his account reinstated by Mr. Musk in 2022 after he acquired the company.
ADVERTISEMENTSince then, Trump has opted to post on his own social media platform, Truth Social, and has shared only one post on X — an image of his famous mugshot.
While Trump initially announced the interview on Truth Social last week, Mr. Musk provided additional details in a series of posts on X on Sunday night.
“This is unscripted with no limits on subject matter, so should be highly entertaining!,” he wrote on X, adding that the interview will be streamed on the social media platform in a separate post.
Mr. Musk also called on his nearly 194 million followers to post any “specific questions & comments” for the interview under the chat.
The interview comes just a few weeks after the Tesla chief executive publicly endorsed Trump for president following his July assassination attempt.
While Mr. Musk has historically voted along Democrat party lines — publicly disclosing that he voted for President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and President Biden in previous election cycles — he has been increasingly outspoken in condemning liberal “woke” policies.
Ahead of the interview, which is expected to draw a huge number of viewers, Mr. Musk announced that he was planning on conducting “some system scaling tests” to ensure that the stream would go off without a hitch.
