Trump can’t postpone paying $355M judgment in NY fraud case, judge rules

Story continues below advertisementFormer President Donald Trump lost a bid Thursday to postpone the New York court ruling forcing him to cough up $355 million and banning him from doing business in the state for three years.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron said Trump’s attorneys hadn’t provided a good reason as to why he should delay his judgement from last week in the civil fraud case against the ex-president, the Trump Organization and others.
On Tuesday, the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James — which prosecuted the case against the real estate tycoon — submitted to the court a proposed judgment order based on Engoron’s Friday ruling.
But Trump lawyer Clifford Robert responded Wednesday claiming the AG’s Office didn’t follow proper court procedure and made errors in the proposed judgment.
He also argued that the defense side should have time to submit a “proposed counter-judgment.”
Engoron signed the judgment Thursday.
The court clerk will then sign off on it, after which Trump and co-defendants — including his two eldest sons Eric and Donald Trump Jr. — will have 30 days to file an appeal.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron has thrown the entire US judicial system into disrepute. What a complete disgrace to the bench! Now that the judiciary is gone, what is left?

The Trump case is going to be appealed and that is his right and doing so stops any decision by the en-moron. Remember if they can do it to DJT they can do it to anyone including all their political enemies. Election interference is a treasonous act and tish – anagram please – james and the en-moron must be hanged. If any real American likes this treasonous act due to their political leanings then they also need to be imprisoned or removed from the country. This cannot go on and a civil war may very well happen soon.

The corrupt judicial system has made a major blunder in the Trump case. Had the judgement been even a little unfair, the public would probably have not taken action, However this ruling is so outrageous that everyone realizes that they must die on this hill just as a matter of self-preservation.

When a city is corrupt to its core , the only remedy is GET OUT as fast as one can. NYC is a waste land of liberals . Judge did “We the people” a favor by showing common folk who and what they really are. The only remedy now is move to a Red state and build there. The once proud US is no more . Now it’s Red State vs Blue State.

When this is overturned, President Trump will be reimbursed with interest on the NYC taxpayer. Thank the corrupt judge and DA. After being repaid, President Trump should sue for damages 10x the corrupt judgement to send a message to municipalities that allow such injustice that there will be consequences. NYC has already lost enough business to bankrupt them. The deep state traitors are toast.
