Two U.S. fighter jets struck weapons and ammunition facilities in Syria on Friday in retaliation for attacks on U.S. forces by Iranian-backed militia as concerns grew the Israel-Hamas conflict might spread in the Middle East.
President Joe Biden ordered strikes on the two facilities used by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps and militia groups that it backs, the Pentagon said, warning the U.S. will take additional measures if attacks by Iran’s proxies continue.
U.S. and coalition troops have been attacked at least 19 times in Iraq and in Syria by Iran-backed forces in the past week. Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Lebanon’s Hezbollah are all backed by Tehran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said at the United Nations on Thursday that if Israel’s offensive against Hamas did not stop, the United States will “not be spared from this fire.”
The U.S. air strikes took place at roughly 4:30 a.m. Friday (0130 GMT) near Abu Kamal, a Syrian town on the border with Iraq, and were carried out by two F-16 fighter jets using precision munitions, a U.S. defense official said.
“These precision self-defense strikes are a response to a series of ongoing and mostly unsuccessful attacks against U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria by Iranian-backed militia groups that began on Oct. 17,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a statement.
“These Iranian-backed attacks against U.S. forces are unacceptable and must stop,” Austin said.
“Iran wants to hide its hand and deny its role in these attacks against our forces. We will not let them. If attacks by Iran’s proxies against U.S. forces continue, we will not hesitate to take further necessary measures to protect our people.”
Biden has sent a rare message to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warning Tehran against targeting U.S. personnel in the Middle East, the White House said earlier on Thursday.
“What we want is for Iran to take very specific actions, to direct its militias and proxies to stand down,” a senior U.S. defense official said. The United States did not coordinate the air strikes with Israel, the official added.

They ride us into every conflict on earth and then they wave flags and pretend they’re defending us at our expense in money and lives. We always swallow that BS hook line and sinker.
Our murderous treasonous ruling class dressed us up as conquerors and murderers and meddlers in all foreign affairs. They make sure everyone else sees us as the greatest threat on earth. They use us as their economic and military muscle to conquer the world for them at our expense. We’ve been set up for a war that eliminates all their opposition, and that includes eliminating us. Their dreams don’t come true if we are the only losers because they enriched and enabled their other enemies to set this stage.
Islam was enriched and enabled at our expense so we would have to fight it. Islam is a perfect autonomous proxy army. Islam is a perfect patsy for any horrible event imaginable, and that’s one reason it was whitewashed and imported not only in the USA but across western civilization (Europe). Islam was embraced and imported as a snake, so it would bite and so it could be blamed for any bite. It’s a patsy card waiting to be played.
They are setting the table to play their patsy card. They always knew they would have to play it at some point because they always knew that Islam wins primarily by population growth and slow subjugation. They made WWIII inevitable. They set all their enemies against each other while they play defenseless.

Probably just saying it or maybe it was planned, either way, I don’t believe them, PROVE it wasn’t orchestrated, prove you took out there weapons and ammunition facilities!!!!!!!! Even if they did, I still think it was a mutual engagement to make us believe whatever they want us to believe. 6 months agoAs Victor DAvis Hanson intimated to Caroline Glick, Biden’s sending of those warships off the Mediterranean will have the unexpected effect of dragging America into a conflict with Iran. This is something The U.S., does not really want as the Obama/Biden administration wants to make Iran the lynchpin of our Middle Eastern policy. As much as the Obama/Biden administration tries to appease Iran, Iran sees an opportunity with the great satan America in proximity to the little Satan that Iran already scored a glorious victory (in Iran’s view) against.
Biden’s blunder of sending those warships to Iran may be the only good thing to come out of this Iranian victory over us Jews.
