Steve Scalise Seeking Support To Stand for Speaker as Race To Succeed McCarthy Takes Shape

Time for revolution. Time to go on offense. As hard and as mercilessly as the left fights for tyranny, oppression, inflation, invasion, violence etc, the right has to fight as hard, harder actually and righteously for the good, for our Constitution for our freedoms,

I, personally, would love to see Trump for Speaker.

Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) is working behind the scenes by making calls to House Republicans to gauge whether they would support his potential bid for Speaker

Larry Johnson: The leading candidate to replace McCarthy is Steve Scalise. Scalise always has been a good soldier — I mean that he did not try to jump the line and push his way to the top. He is not a man consumed by ambition and ego. He learned the hard way that life is precious and short after he was shot by a Bernie Sanders supporter in June, 2017. Still, he is a creature of the Washington, D.C. political cess pool. There are only two questions Scalise needs to answer to win over the Freedom Caucus. Will he fight the Deep State? Will he honor his promises?

Besides Scalise there is Byron Donalds. He is the dark horse (and NO, I am not referring to the color of his skin). Byron is a rising star in the Republican ranks, but he is a very junior guy. He has not been in Washington very long, which actually plays to his favor among the Freedom Caucus. Representative Donalds is an articulate, smart man who made his money in the financial/banking industry. He is astute. I know that some of the big time Washington lobbyists don’t like Donalds, but I suspect that is because he is not out begging them for money and getting chained to the lobbyist train.

There is a small group of Republicans that are completely fed up with the incestuous corruption that infests the House and the Senate. It smells when career politicians like Pelosi, Biden, and Mitch McConnell wind up as multi-millionaires after spending years in DC. They want to put an end to the practice of going to Washington to get wealthy.

Speaker McCarthy’s decision against standing for reelection to the speakership opens the way for ambitious Republicans who now have a rare opening to step into the House’s top job — albeit at a perilous moment. Will the House GOP, with its slender majority, stick with Mr. McCarthy’s lieutenants and risk ending up in the same place they are now? Or will it advance a more moderate candidate in the hopes of winning Democratic support?

One potential candidate is the now-former speaker’s top deputy — the House Majority Leader, Congressman Steve Scalise. The eastern Louisiana native has served in House GOP leadership for more than a decade. He became something of a folk hero to Republican elected officials and voters alike when he was seriously wounded in a shooting in 2017 in northern Virginia.

Punchbowl News’ John Bresnahan reported on Tuesday evening that Mr. Scalise was already making calls to his fellow Republicans, asking for their support in the coming speaker election. I don’t trust Scalise at all. He is another uni-party hack. The swamp does not allow patriots to assume positions of power. It’s why not a single subpoena of merit has been issued by any committee in the Senate of House ever. The only reason Hunter Biden has not been issued a subpoena is the swamp protects their own. Biden could not testify without perjuring himself. Not that the DOJ would ever charge a swamp critter.
