The Roosevelt Hotel is a NYC icon.The Beatles were supposed to stay at the historic Roosevelt Hotel, which cancelled on them for fear of damage by fans. Yes, that Roosevelt Hotel. There are chandeliers, massive vases filled with flowers, a grand piano, and detailing you only really see in old architecture—Hilton called it, “a fine hotel with grand spaces.”

This is deliberate. There is a diabolical plot here to destroy the greatest city in the world.

While a President never stayed there, from 1943 to 1955 the hotel served as an office (suite 1527) and residence for Governor Thomas E. Dewey. In more recent history, the Roosevelt has been used in a number of films and TV shows, including The Taking of Pelham 123, The French Connection, Hanky Panky, Quiz Show, Malcolm X, Wall Street, Maid in Manhattan, 1408, The Dictator, Men in Black 3, Man on a Ledge, and Broken City.
Sobering video shows dozens of migrants sleeping on cardboard outside the iconic Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan on Monday morning — as the makeshift processing center for asylum seekers hit capacity this weekend. The slumbering newly arrived migrants could be seen filling the sidewalks surrounding the historic hotel at 45th Street and Vanderbilt Avenue, stretching from the hotel door up East 47th Street. The group slept shoulder-to-shoulder across three full blocks while waiting to be processed at the site, which also houses migrant families (New York Post).
