Anti Israel “Republican” Vivek: No Special Aid to Israel

37

Terrible. Ramaswamy said Israel should not get more aid than its Middle Eastern neighbors despite the whole of the Middle East being aligned against the tiny Jewish state.

The US has always had a special relationship with Israel is very special. It should be treated like Yemen?

Vivek: No Special Aid to Israel

By Jeffrey Rodack, Newsmax, 18 August 2023 10:30 AM EDT

Vivek Ramaswamy, a GOP presidential candidate, says he favors reducing aid to Israel.

His comments came during a Friday interview with Russell Brand on the Rumble platform. The Jerusalem Post reported details of the interview.

Ramaswamy maintained Israel should not get more aid than its neighboring counties in the Middle East when the current aid package of $38 billion expires after 2028.

“Come 2028, that additional aid won’t be necessary in order to still have the kind of stability that we’d actually have in the Middle East by having Israel more integrated in with its partners,” he said.

He said he also favors expanding the Abraham Accords and maintained that after Israel is “more integrated” with its surrounding counties, it should be able to stand “on its own two feet” financially.

His comments about Israel came in response to a question from a viewer.

“Israel should not receive preferential treatment from the United States, even though our relationship with Israel has advanced American interests” over time, he maintained.

“There’s no North Star commitment to any one country, other than the United States of America.”

The Jerusalem Post noted that Ramaswamy’s comments separate him from top rival for the nomination former President Donald Trump, who is viewed as a strong supporter of Israel.

Sadly, there is an undercurrent of “Defund_Israel” people in the populist/libertarian community.

Ron and Rand Paul are even worse than Vivek. Senator Paul voted against Iron Dome at least 4 times.
His father Ron’s institute routinely blames Israel for many things.

Tucker campaigned for Ron Paul. Ever wonder why Tucker has been quiet on Israel over the years?

Vivek wants the mud slime vote. Also, he will have no hesitation making money from vax deaths. Someone like him, immersed in the caste system, which I presume is anathema to Americans, a pagan which is anathema to Americans and others., Is a globullist’s wet dream.

Well said! I never trusted Vivek and never can evermore now that he has finally outed himself. Very slick but all talk and no substance or track record and little is really known or shown about the person. He is a pagan non-Judeo-Christian as are others who want to destroy America and I am very suspicious of a Hindu who wants to side with Muslims who would also want to destroy Hindus as well as Jews. .

I never trusted the guy either. And as you said, what is a Hindu doing siding with the M0slems? This reminds me of terrorist supporter Indira Ghandi (sp) who got hers from terrorists , also.

Totally agree; everybody should see the interview he just had with Candace Owens and DC Draino. The guy is a slippery extremely proficient law-yuh (out of Yale/Harvard same difference). He’s got tons of stock with Pfizer. He’s FOS.

One last thing, Russell Brand is a big enemy of Israel and probably Jews as well. His brain is fried by so many acid trips and other drugs that he cannot be taken as a legitimaate talkshow ty

Am against vivek’s beliefs and agenda and will not vote for him. Vivek being an Indian is another reason that I would not vote for him. I believe his loyalty is in India and not America.

Israel is a special ally but deserves no handouts from US taxpayers. NO country deserves any handouts anymore. The US taxpayers are tired of being the world’s ATM. And Muslim countries deserve less than zero if that’s possible.

We need Israel to contain Iran.
And also to contain Nuclear Islamism.

That’s not a handout, that’s an investment in America’s interests.

I recently read that Ramaswamy is Hindu. Thus, his dislike of Israel is puzzling, as, the majority of Hindus, at least in India, strongly support Israel. Who the heck is Ramaswamy? Other than a guy who has made a fortune in biotech. And, why has he so quickly attained national prominence? This makes me question, who is backing him.

He is only pretending that he is a real Hindu. Probably he is a muslim(there are muslims in India unfortunately ). Boycott him . I delete everything he says.

Got that right. As an Americen living in Israel I can tell you guys this: the Israelis LOVE the US (at least used to under Trump = I was two weeks ago at a bus stop, there were three IDF solders there as well, we talked about the US, they all said they love the USA. Then one of the solders started making fun of the US that we now have FJB as Prez. I wanted the ground th swallow me!)

I never thought I would ever agree to such comments, but recently Caroline Glick wrote that perhaps it is time to stop the level of aid the United States provides to Israel. Under some presidents, in particular Obama and Biden, the United States feels entitled to dictate terms of survivability to Israel by threatening to withhold aid. Perhaps Glick is correct. Israel has strengthened to the point where she is selling arms to other countries and no American soldier has ever fallen in defense of Israel, unlike a long list of Israel’s neighbors. So perhaps it’s time for Israel to stand a little taller and tell Biden, once again, what the late Menachem Begin told him some years ago when Biden made similar threats.

Funding is a way to know if people are willing to put their money where their mouth is; especially when some politicians in DC only pay lip-service to Israel.

We need israel to contain Iran and nuclear Islamism. Very much in America’s interests.

So disappointed. I was beginning to like him, not necessarily to vote for him in a primary, but to pay attention. Then his true colors re Israel came out. His foreign policy is naive, nativist, isolationist, libertarian–the Paul/Carlson school. He would fail on the world stage as president. The devils in the world would eat his lunch. The Squad would love him. Jayapal as Secretary of State. laugh this guy home.

Fwiw, this one idiot doesn’t speak for Indians. The vast majority of Indians are strong supporters of Israel and the US.

I don’t know where the GOP found this guy, but he’s a poor representative and gives Indians a bad name. Recall that India has a vibrant Israeli community and they saved many Jews during the Holocaust.

It’s unlikely he has a chance of winning anyways and will be forgotten in time like many others that came and went. I believe Trump will win, so long as the Leftists don’t steal the election again somehow.

“I believe Trump will win, so long as the Leftists don’t steal the election again somehow.”

I’m no Trump-hater if you look at my past comments. But the whole Russia-collusion hoax was revived when Tucker started advocating for Putin’s war in Ukraine in 2022. And some independent voters saw that in 2022 elections and thought that maybe a hoaxer like Adam Schiff was right all along.

Until Republicans get some consistency on the Axis which is China-Russia-Iran, those doubts will persist in the general elections.

And some populists/libertarians read RT News, which is run by the Russian Government, which only adds to the doubt about their patriotism.

Some are giving the Deep State a moral reason to fear them. If they were quoting Chinese state News, or quoting Iranian news, wouldn’t you doubt their patriotism as well?

Honestly, that’s not smart at all. Not just from the Biblical perspective alone, but there’s that. There is a lot to be said for the funding of Israel, just for the fact that they do a ton of research and development into weapons systems that they in turn share with the U.S. on account of all of the $$ that we pile into their R&D programs, as well as into other things to support them, and truth be told, if what were to happen, as he were to suggest, all that they share with us would come to a full stop.

If that would come to a full stop, a lot of OUR weapons systems that technically come from Israeli research and development would grind to a halt. Guy has not thought this through. Letting his racism get the better of him…

Israel is God’s Timetable. Keep yer eye on Israel if you want to know what God is doing/going to do. And get ready, because He is just about to do a whole lot of things, after He takes us home. (Those that know Him and have accepted His Son’s sacrifice on that cruel Roman cross to satisfy God’s judgment for our sins…sin…breaking God’s law and we are all guilty and deserving of His death penalty).

I would never vote for a Hindu, Sikh or Muslim. That guy will never read the Bible and will never see Gen12:2-3.

Sad to say Amarxica has walked away from the founding principles that made it great. This republic was founded based on LAW not the rule of men. Many of the Founders looked to Jewish law. Patrick Henry said “Being a Christian… is a character which I prize far above all this world has or can boast.” He did not say Hindu.

Thanks to the Democratic Party the nation has walked away from being America to being Amarxica. After all it was a cousin of Franklin Delano Roosevelt that authored the communist manifesto, not Karl Marx. And the Democratic pasrty is the party of the four ‘S’ Doctine. The Four S Doctrine: Slavery, Secession, Segregation, Socialism

That party is responsible for the death of more than 460 thousand Americans over slavery.

I think people misunderstood his answer there. He said Israel is and should be able to stand up on her own feet, people also fail to recognize that U.S now is in no position to give too much aid when domestically struggling with all the mess. He just think it is in the best interests for americans taxpayers. And I think it has racial undertone when addressing him being Indian descent and a Hindu means he is less American than any other candidates, thus have less best interest for Americans. As a Christian we are to acknowledge whoever leader elected by people.

Israel is and will always be America best and closest ally. But it doesn’t meab at all times it has to get bigger aid, considering it seems like America is in need of aid itself thanks to the demonrats government. So it could be temporary solutuin to cut some aid budgets while mending national economy. So i think Vivek comments is in the light of American economy and interest not that he’s anti Israel at all.
