President Joe Biden is asked about the devastating Maui fires and replies with ‘no comment.’
Hawaii stands out among even the bluest of states. Biden just delivered another tens of billions to Ukraine,
but can’t even give a comment. Keep voting blue, Hawaii.
The fires have caused an estimated $5.5 Billion worth of damage. Wall Street Journal: Maui officials increased the death toll to at least 96 following the catastrophic wildfires on the island as they continue the painstaking search for victims in the rubble. Residents braced for a higher death toll in what is already America’s deadliest wildfire event in over a century as searchers find more human remains in the charred town of Lahaina. Across Maui, officials urged residents to share DNA samples to help identify those lost (Wall Street Journal).
CNN: Firefighters have made progress against the three largest wildfires, but the deadly fire in hard-hit Lahaina, covering more than 2,000 acres, was only 85% contained by Sunday afternoon (CNN).
The U.S. on Monday announced a $200 million assistance package for Ukraine, providingThe latest package places total U.S. security assistance to Ukraine at roughly $43 billion.

The part of Hawaii that got destroyed by the wildfires was a prime land next to luxury mega mansions.
How the hell the fire knew to avoid the part of the island where these celebrities have their multi million dollar houses? pic.twitter.com/lstpFfogde— I Meme Therefore I Am 🇺🇸 (@ImMeme0) August 14, 2023
