Terror Top Dog Mahmoud Abbas Seeks Full Membership In the UN For Terror State of ‘Palestine’

8

In Egypt, at a recent meeting of the Arab League, Mahmoud Abbas announced his intention to seek full membership in the UN for the “State of Palestine.” More on his plans, and what should prevent them from being realized, can be found here.

The UN was established in the wake of the Holocaust in order to ensure the wholesale slaughter of a people would never happen again.  This will be the final death cry of a vicious, corrupt, failed institution. Palestinianism is a euphemism Islamic genocide of the Jews. “Palestine” is Israel.

The Flag of Palestine Before 1948

Above photo: The actual flag of Palestine — 1939. Further proof of the lie (as if we needed any more) of the vicious historical revisionism by the Muslim world to erase the Jewish State and create a mythical Islamic narrative surrounding five thousand years of Jewish history.

The fact is that Palestine is Israel — the Jewish homeland.

After the Romans conquered the Jews in the Jewish-Roman wars, the Romans renamed Israel after the Jews’ worst enemies — the Philistines — in order to further humiliate them.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas told the Arab League in Cairo on Sunday that the PA will ask the United Nations this week to grant Palestinians full membership.

The Palestinians currently have non-member observer state status at the UN.

Abbas told the Arab League’s conference on Jerusalem that in addition to a membership push, he would seek to have the UN reaffirm its commitment to a two-state solution as well as condemn what he called Israel’s “unilateral measures,” such as settlement construction.

Israel’s claim to Judea and Samaria, where more than half a million Israeli citizens live in its towns and cities — is based on the following:

First, the Mandate for Palestine itself, which assigned all the land “from the river to the sea” to the future Jewish National Home. Article 6 of the Mandate requires that the Mandatary (Great Britain) should “facilitate immigration” by Jews and “encourage close settlement by Jews on the land.” Which land? All the land, according to the League of Nations, from Mt. Hermon in the north to the Red Sea in the south, and from the Jordan River in the east to the Mediterranean in the west.

Second, a completely independent basis for Israel holding onto Judea and Samaria is the right of the victor in a defensive war to keep territory from which the aggression against it was launched. This was made clear in UN Security Council Resolution 242, which upheld the right of Israel to retain territory needed in order for it to have “secure [i.e., defensible] and recognized boundaries.” It was the chief author of Resolution 242, British UN Ambassador Lord Caradon, who explained that there would be no return by Israel to the 1949 armistice line. He was familiar with the 1949 armistice line, he said, “and it was a rotten line.” Were Israel ever to allow itself to be squeezed back within the 1949 armistice lines, it would be left with a nine-mile-waist from Qalqilya to the sea.

“The State of Palestine will continue going to international courts and organizations to protect our people’s legitimate rights,” he [Abbas] said.

Focusing on Jerusalem, Abbas claimed it was a “religious duty” to support Palestinians living in the city, as well as a “humanitarian and national imperative.”

If Abbas wants to persuade the other Arabs to give the PA more money to deliver to Palestinians in east Jerusalem, Israel won’t prevent it. Why should it? Israel has a stake in Palestinian prosperity, which is why it recently increased the number of permits allowing Palestinians to work in Israel; 17,000 such permits were provided for residents of Gaza and 100,000 for Palestinians in the West Bank.

This “support for Palestinians” living in Jerusalem is not really about Abbas’ solicitude for the Palestinians in east Jerusalem. The grasping Mahmoud Abbas has been alarmed at the steep decrease in aid to the P.A. from the rich Arab states, and thinks “raising funds for Palestinians in Jerusalem” should lead to more money flowing into the P.A.’s coffers. And, as always, when that aid arrives, President Abbas, his sons Tarek and Yasser, and his cronies, will help themselves by taking something off the top.

He [Abbas] cited the British government’s 1917 Balfour Declaration, in which the then-British foreign secretary Lord Arthur Balfour declared his government’s support for a Jewish state in the area then known as Mandatory Palestine.

No, Abbas has his chronology all wrong. The Balfour Declaration dates from November 1917. The area was not “then known as Mandatory Palestine.” The Palestine Mandate was only created five years later, in 1922. That Mandate was not the doing of Great Britain alone, but of all the Great Powers in the League of Nations, who supported the Mandates system, of which the Palestine Mandate was only one.

The battle raging over Jerusalem did not only begin on the day of its occupation in 1967, but several decades prior to that, and even before the Balfour Declaration which was issued by the colonial powers, led by Britain and America,” Abbas was quoted by WAFA, the PA’s official news agency, as saying.

Abbas apparently does not realize that the United States had nothing to do with the Balfour Declaration.

Abbas has exceeded his mandate by over a decade, in other words he is an unelected dictator. So what status does he have at the UN?

Would not doubt for one minute that the Anti-Israel UN, would give membership to these terrorists without a state. The US has to get out of the UN and then UN needs to get out of the US.

According to the research conducted by Edward Jacobson (Oxford University), the Greek name for Israel ‘Palaestine’ translates as ‘Land of the Wrestler’ (referring to Jacob’s wrestling with the angel or G-d). The renaming by the Romans according to Jacobson relates to the Seleucids (Greeks) whom the founders of the Hasmonean line fought and won against which was always then celebrated by the Judeans. This turned the victory against a more recent enemy into a pyrrich one. The idea of an Arab “Palestinian” was the idea given to Arafat by his KGB mentors as confirmed by I.M. Pacepa (former head of Intelligence = Romania) and facilitator of Arafat’s contacts within the Soviet sphere.
