U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss just announced she will resign from her position following weeks of turbulence inside her office, just over a month after being elected in September. The conservative faced enormous obstacles not the least of which – soaring inflation and an energy crisis exacerbated the Ukrainian war.

She was hanging on to power by a thread on Thursday after a senior minister quit her government with a barrage of criticism and a vote in the House of Commons descended into chaos and acrimony.
A botched economic plan unveiled by the government last month triggered financial turmoil and a political crisis that has seen the replacement of Truss’ Treasury chief, multiple policy U-turns and a breakdown of discipline in the governing Conservative Party.
Truss was chosen by the ruling Conservative Party, automatically winning the election that was determined by lawmakers inside the House of Commons rather than the country’s voters. Truss was unpopular among U.K residents leading up to the election, with that sentiment only increasing after she announced plans to scrap an increase in the corporation tax.
Corporation tax in the U.K. was initially set to increase from 19% to 25% under Johnson before Truss scrapped the plan on Sept. 23. Truss later reversed course and decided to go forth with the original plan for the tax.
Truss is now as unpopular as former Prime Minister John Major was after Black Wednesday, when Britain crashed out of the European Exchange Rate Mechanism, according to polling expert Sir John Curtice. She is also now more unpopular than Johnson when his partygate scandal was at its height in early January.

PM Truss Had 90-Minute ‘Shouting Match’ with Ex-Home Secretary over Immigration Betrayal
Prime Minister Liz Truss reportedly had a 90-minute “shouting match” with the now-former Home Secretary Suella Braverman over broken promises, particularly on controlling immigration, before the latter was forced from office.
Braverman, who along with Kemi Badenoch — now Trade Secretary — was seen as the “right-wing” candidate by grassroots conservatives during the race to replace Boris Johnson, as a Brexit supporter who put a focus on tackling illegal migration, reducing legal mass migration, and taking on social justice leftists in British institutions over the course of her leadership campaign.
Unlike predecessor Priti Patel, however, Braverman continued to push immigration control in word and deed, leading to significant tensions with a Prime Minister who was not especially interested in it — indeed, Truss declined to make the ever-worsening Channel Migrant crisis a priority on taking office and has been pushing to increase immigration in the name of “growth”.
Unlike tax cuts and energy bills support, key parts of the Truss platform she has been forced to abandon or reduce as the party establishment led by anti-Brexit lockdown authoritarian Jeremy Hunt takes charge of her floundering government, increased immigration is still part of her agenda — and reportedly caused a blazing row with Braverman ahead of her exit from government.

It appears that the Conservative Party in Britain is, in reality, a British version of our RINO Republicans. With traitors like that who needs enemies.
Britain will simply continue to plod along, never really accomplishing anything, eventually becoming a quasi-Muslim country.

The war isn’t Ukrainian as the above article quote says, it’s Russian. Ukrainians didn’t invade a sovereign country. So it’s Putin’s war, now assisted by jihadis in Iran.
It’s time we stopped sounding like Democrats from the Obama years.
The legendary conservative commentator, Rush Limbaugh, called out the Democrats’ Russia-denial during the Obama years.
