President Biden gets blasted for telling a reporter that the economy is ‘strong as hell’ while eating ice cream

President Biden got backlash for telling a reporter that the economy is “strong as hell” at a Baskin Robins in Portland, Oregon.
The reporter asked the 46th president if he was worried about the strength of the U.S. dollar in the midst of rising inflation.
“I’m not concerned about the strength of the dollar,” Joe Biden answered the reporter while eating his ice cream. “I’m concerned about the rest of the world. Our economy is strong as hell.”
ADVERTISEMENTThe president went on to say the inflation is ‘worldwide’ and that it’s impacting everyone.
“Inflation is worldwide,” Biden continued, according to Fox News. “It’s worse off than it is in the United States. So the problem is the lack of economic growth and sound policy in other countries, not so much ours.”
Biden had recently criticized the UK Prime Minister Liz Truss’s economic plan and called it a “mistake.”
“I was not the only one that thought it was a mistake,” he said. “I think the idea of cutting taxes on the super-wealthy at a time when — anyway, I disagreed with the policy but that’s up to Great Britain to make that judgment, not me.”
Biden was criticized widely on social media for his comments about the economy by many Republicans, including foreign policy analyst Nile Gardiner.
