The U.S. sent nearly 600,000 small arms, 76,000 vehicles and 208 airplanes to Afghanistan. The most recent quarterly report of the U.S.-led military coalition documented deliveries of 174 Humvees, nearly three million rounds of ammunition, and nearly 100,000 2.75-inch rockets during the period.

ISIS conducted 2,700-plus attacks worldwide in 2021
(January 13, 2022 / JNS) The Islamic States (ISIS) terror organization conducted 2,705 attacks worldwide in 2021, roughly the same number it conducted in 2020 (2,781), according to a new report by an Israeli research center.
The Meir Amit Terrorism and Intelligence Information Center said that the role of ISIS in Afghanistan increased substantially in 2021 following America’s withdrawal last August.
ADVERTISEMENTThe report noted that “this year too, no prominent attacks inspired by ISIS occurred in the West,” noting that the absence of major attacks has been taking place for a number of years.
Preventative actions exacted prices from ISIS in almost every one of its areas of activity, “particularly in the Sinai Peninsula,” noted the report.
It also noted a minor drop in the number of attacks in the past year, describing the overall number as still high.
