Liberal Governor Decides to Replace Terminated Healthcare Workers with Unqualified National Guard

As I’m sure you’re aware, there have been thousands of healthcare workers who have been terminated from their jobs after refusing to get vaccinated for COVID.

When given the choice to make their own decisions about their own health, they were forced to either make the decision that their employer wanted them to make or get fired.

Because of this happening, there is a shortage of healthcare workers.

Well, apparently that’s not a big deal because according to Janet Mills, who is the Governor of Maine, they can just be replaced with the National Guard. They’re the same thing anyway, right?

Bangor Daily News reported,

Gov. Janet Mills announced Wednesday that she is activating the Maine National Guard to augment short health care staffing and requesting federal help for two beleaguered hospitals amid a record COVID-19 surge.

It was an extraordinary response coming as Maine hospitals struggle with a surge of patients that have pushed many to capacity or just below it. Maine called upon the National Guard last year to help stand up temporary hospitals in the event hospitals were overwhelmed, but those measures were never put in place. The number of open beds statewide is the lowest that it has been during the coronavirus pandemic.

In hospitals, Guard members will be administering monoclonal antibodies, a therapy aimed at treating more serious cases of COVID-19, to free up critical care space. These Guard members will be deployed to hospitals starting next week through the end of January.

This makes no sense whatsoever and it is an absolute insult to nurses and healthcare professionals everywhere.

In order to become a healthcare worker, there is a lot of education that is involved in this. It requires time, money, and effort. What the Governor of Maine is saying by replacing healthcare workers with the National Guard is that their education and effort is meaningless. If they can be replaced so easily with someone who has no experience in this field, then what is all of their work for to begin with?
