Battle over mail-in-ballots heads for the Supreme Court

By Ronn Blitzer | Fox News October 16, 2020;

‘Unfortunately, the Supreme Court, which is now essentially an arm of the Democratic Party, is now going to legislate and extend mail-in-voting count by three days,’ says Pennsylvania Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman.

The Honest Elections Project is warning that recent events unfolding in states throughout the country have confirmed their fears that November’s election will be mired in controversy because states changed their voting procedures without adequate time to develop a workable system.

The group had warned in a July report that large-scale voting by mail would waste resources, create a risk of complications, such as fraud.

“Almost everything we warned of, happened in multiple states throughout the primaries,” a new addendum to the report says. “Rather than learn from these mistakes, many states are repeating them.”

The addendum points to lawsuits filed by liberal groups to force states into changing ballot deadlines that could result in late ballots being counted, and counting others that could otherwise be invalid. One such case is awaiting a decision by the Supreme Court.

Groups are also challenging election security laws such as witness requirements and prohibitions on ballot harvesting, which the Honest Elections Project claims could result in confusion and a lack of confidence in the election results.

“Uncertainty and last-minute rules changes amplify the risk of delay and post-election litigation that could drag on for weeks, cast doubt on the election’s outcome, and possibly force states to miss the deadline to participate in the Electoral College, disenfranchising millions,” the group said.

The organization also expressed concern that the sheer number of absentee ballots now being cast is more than some states can handle if they did not already have the proper infrastructure in place. They cited an NPR report that revealed 550,000 absentee ballots were rejected during this year’s primary elections.

Looking at November’s election, the Honest Elections Project pointed to ballot errors, such as thousands in New York City that included envelopes made out to the wrong people, and thousands of others sent to Los Angeles County residents that did not include the ability to vote for president.

Honest Elections Project executive director Jason Snead told Fox News that the problems he has seen are “mostly system-level problems” as opposed to fraud, but the report does refer to several incidents, including the arrest of a New Jersey postal worker who allegedly dumped more than 1,800 pieces of mail, including 99 general election ballots.
Regardless of the intent or cause for problems, Snead warned that the best way to ensure the integrity of the election is for people to vote in person if they are capable of doing so. He said that unless voters are particularly vulnerable to coronavirus, they should vote in person, either on Election Day or during early voting periods to avoid overwhelming their states’ voting systems.

“We need to have absentee voting for vulnerable voters,” Snead said, saying that others should vote in person or the strain on the system will be tremendous. “Anyone who can vote in person,” he said, “will free up an absentee ballot effectively for those who need it.”

The basic uncertainty and mistrust that I have actually voted, that my vote will be counted, that THIS IS MY GOVERNMENT elected by me. That is what THEY want.

One can only hope there is something to that. As a native of Pa. I remember discussing in class, how prayer was kicked out of our schools. The first case, Engel V. Vitale, stated the practice of school mandated prayer was unconstitutional. The case Murray v. Curlett (combined with Abington School District v. Schemmp) was decided a year later as a confirmation of an earlier decision. Abington school district is in Montgomery County. . Demographic changes from Philadelphia spillover and not being vigilant on immigration has made them a liberal county. Atheists have also done allot of damage to our country prior to the Muslim problem. Our founders had wanted school prayer. If our founders returned today, they would not recognize our country and grieved by what we have done to it.

Where I live in Illinois I’m seeing many Trump-Pence signs, only a few Biden signs, my son just drove from Illinois to Kansas City he said he saw many Trump signs didn’t see any Biden signs, I think that’s a good sign, pun intended!
I have to disagree with you on the Atheist comment because I am one, I’m a constitutional conservative and a Trump supporter, there are more conservative Atheist than you think!
Atheists only have one thing we all agree on, Atheism is simply not being convinced that a god exists, there are many types of Atheists, good ones and bad ones same as with the religious people, there are conservative religious people and leftist religious people.
Change this: “Atheists have also done allot of damage”
To this: “Leftist have also done allot of damage” then I’ll agree with you felix1999.

I have religious neighbors, family and friends who are great people and we get along just fine,
I don’t make fun of their believes and they don’t proselytize to me, I can get along with believers, I can’t get along with leftist, don’t like them, don’t want to be around them!

Notice how they are happening consistently in DEM Governor states or states we need like Texas. It’s guaranteed to be a mess. All you can do is hope and pray DEMS under estimate the fraud needed for a Biden win. STATES have the right to determine how people vote but not entitled to a fraud win. Unfortunately we have too may corrupt judges that refuse tto rule properly and prevent the fraud. If it was a clean election, Without fraud, Trump would most likely win the popular vote as well as the election.

The left and others hate God or deny He exists.

God has played a huge role in our country. “In God we Trust” is our motto. Obama hates the Judeo Christian God and allowed Muslims and others to avoid taking the Pledge of Allegiance when sworn in as citizens. Trump restored the pledge. requirement. Only God is omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence. I suggest you ask for His help at this time.
America is also a REPUBLIC, not a democracy! https://www.heritage.org/american-founders/report/america-republic-not-democracy
