Wisconsin DOJ Finds Jacob Blake Had Weapon On Floorboard Of Car

The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) reported late on Wednesday that Jacob Blake, the man who was shot by a police officer in Kenosha on Sunday, had a weapon the floorboard of his car.

“Kenosha Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2800 block of 40th Street after a female caller reported that her boyfriend was present and was not supposed to be on the premises,” the department said. “During the incident, officers attempted to arrest Jacob S. Blake, age 29. Law enforcement deployed a taser to attempt to stop Mr. Blake, however the taser was not successful in stopping Mr. Blake.”

“Mr. Blake walked around his vehicle, opened the driver’s side door, and leaned forward. While holding onto Mr. Blake’s shirt, Officer Rusten Sheskey fired his service weapon 7 times,” the department continued. The department said that officers immediately rendered aid to Blake.

“During the investigation following the initial incident, Mr. Blake admitted that he had a knife in his possession,” the department added. “DCI agents recovered a knife from the driver’s side floorboard of Mr. Blake’s vehicle. A search of the vehicle located no additional weapons.”

The department said that none of the police officers had body cameras on because the city did not provide the Kenosha Police Department with the equipment. All of the officers have been placed on administrative leave as the DCI continues its investigation.

“When DCI is the lead investigating agency of a shooting involving a law enforcement officer, DCI aims to provide a report of the incident to the prosecutor within 30 days,” the statement concluded. “The prosecutor then reviews the report and makes a determination about what charges, if any, are appropriate. If the prosecutor determines there is no basis for prosecution of the law enforcement officer, DCI will thereafter make the report available to the public.”

The shooting quickly sparked Black Lives Matter riots in the city that resulted in businesses being destroyed, a church being burned to the ground, and cars being smashed.

The situation became more severe on Tuesday night after shootings broke out in the city after Democrat Governor Tony Evers refused to accept federal assistance to help secure the streets of the city.

“Governor should call in the National Guard in Wisconsin,” Trump tweeted. “It is ready, willing, and more than able. End problem FAST!”

White House Senior Communications Advisor Ben Williamson added: “Local law enforcement in Wisconsin have told the White House they need at least 750 National Guard tonight. Governor Evers is only sending 250. Today, Mark Meadows called the Governor and offered 500 additional guard to meet the police needs. Governor Evers declined.”

Jacob Blake had a long history of entanglement with law enforcement when he lived in Lake County.

Blake’s shooting by police in Kenosha on Sunday sparked destructive riots in the Wisconsin city not far from the state border.

Records reveal Blake was arrested in 2013 in Round Lake Beach and criminal trespass to a vehicle and arrested in 2012 in Zion, Ill. for domestic battery, endangering the life and health of a child and driving under the influence.

Blake is currently facing a rape charge in Kenosha.

A warrant was issued for Blake’s arrest on July 7 on felony 3rd degree sexual assault, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass, all related to domestic abuse.

Blake has reportedly been paralyzed from the waist down after being shot eight times on Sunday by police who were answering a domestic abuse call.

The rape charge started circulating on Twitter this afternoon and was confirmed by a search of court records.

In addition to the rape charge Blake has been a party to several child support disputes.

Blake appears to still be wanted under the warrant for the rape charge.

It is time to put a full fledged boycott in place for anyone that supports this Marxist insurgency. That means stop watching professional sports, boycott actors or entertainers who support this communist insurrection, stop buying from companies that financially support this revolution. It is your duty to find who they are and stop them dead in their tracks. I will never purchase anything from Nike as long as I alive. They can go to hell.

They have nothing but contempt for you and hate America.

Enough is enough.

“The story is TOO GOOD to check.”
Reporters do this all the time. Consider the Rodney King “beating” by the LAPD in 1991, that led to many serious riots. The MSM proclaimed he was beaten “for no reason”, and they showed a “beating” video endlessly on TV. But the MSM had edited out the first part of the video, where King attempted homicide on one police officer. After that, the police had a lot of trouble restraining King, because he remained violent, even on in the ground. At trial, a mixed race jury saw the whole video, and acquitted the cops, but the MSM ignored that trial result as well. To this day the average person believes that Rodney King was gratuitously beaten by the LAPD, and the MSM has never recanted.

It’s so unfair. They shot him without even giving him a chance to shoot first.

Now that’s priceless.

Yes, and since he’s Black he should be allowed to kill a White person or two, including police officers. You know. Reparations.

You need a gun to shoot, the man was unarmed.

I don’t disagree with what the officer did. You fight with the police. You shrug off being tasered. You refuse to follow orders. You go into a car and are reaching for something that turned out to be a knife (it could very well have been a gun) so the police do as trained and shoot.

Three times would have been sufficient, but I didn’t see what the officer saw. Maybe Blake was on PCP and just kept going. Maybe it was adrenaline and the officer just kept going. There was a pause after the first few shots – quite possibly Blake kept trying to do something.

Most jurisdictions train police officers that anyone with a knife in a hostile situation, and less than 21′ away is, considered a dangerous threat to the officer. They can shoot. They can use deadly force.

I won’t call Blake a victim. I call this low life slime stupid for not surrendering when so ordered. He would be alive today facing rape, breaking and entering, et cetera, but a prisoner still walking. Now instead its possible imprisonment in a wheelchair; for him. I don’t feel sorry.

A knife to the children’s neck in the van maybe? A hostage situation? A high speed chase?

The dude was not going to jail. He decided that much. The more we know it’s incredible he even made it to the inside of the van.

When I heard of Blake’s paralysis I felt relief. I had just perused his extensive criminal record you see. I thought, “Good-now he can’t continue in his criminal acts.”

So no, neither do I “feel sorry”. I save my sympathy for those who deserve it. And I haven’t heard anything about this piece of trash’s doing all this with his kids in the car! Whassup with that?

Puhleeze.

Agreed .On top of all that, Blake should be charged with child endangerment for hauling his kids into what he knew full well what was going to be a violent confrontation.

So what?

After showing himself to be violent, he ignored a legitimate police-command to stop and surrender. He then moved to retrieve something from his car, all while being told to stop.

I don’t care if he was getting them a rose and a bottle of wine, you make a threatening gesture at a time like that and it’s a legitimate shoot.

Every owner of the damaged stores or loss of revenue should file a lawsuit against the governor who fired the first shot in the riot.

As the article noted, the knife was in the car, not on him.
Resisting arrest justifies shooting him 7 times?

They didn’t know… he could have had a gun and gotten 2-3 shots off from two different positions…. Gun behind in small of back or gun in front of stomach.

They’re very common shooting positions.
