New York City councilman thanks Trump for raising awareness about hydroxychloroquine after drug ‘saved’ him

Story continues below advertisementA New York City councilman said he feared for his life until hydroxychloroquine helped him recover from his coronavirus infection.
Councilman Paul Vallone, a Democrat, told the New York Post that he took hydroxychloroquine, a drug known for treating malaria, while he fell ill with COVID-19 in March. He claimed that the drug saved his life and thanked President Trump for raising awareness about the medication.
“At that time, there was only fear and panic, he offered hope in a possible treatment when there was none. With my sarcoidosis and then my COVID symptoms, It basically saved me. For that, my family will always be thankful,” Vallone said.
Vallone said he struggled with severe symptoms after contracting the virus.
“I couldn’t breathe, very weak, couldn’t get out of bed. My doctor prescribed it. My pharmacy had it. Took it that day and within two to three days, I was able to breathe,” Vallone said. “Within a week, I was back on my feet.”
“We were in panic mode when I went down because I didn’t have a lot of immune response,” he later added. “I needed something to stay alive.”
Hydroxychloroquine, which has been tested as a safe drug for diseases such as malaria and lupus, has not been proven to treat the coronavirus. However, there has been anecdotal evidence of its success. Trump’s promotion of the drug has led to criticism from those who note that it is not proven to treat COVID-19.
“I guess all those doctors who are prescribing it are right. This drug is already on the market, and the patent is up, so it’s cheap. A new drug won’t be. So, big money does not want this drug to be used. Always follow the money,” Vallone said. “[It] saved my life.”

-2- Michigan Democrat, Karen Whitsett of Detroit says Hydroxychloroquine saved her life, too . She took the initiative to go to Washington DC to meet Trump to personally thank him for making the drug known to her.. The result was — she was censured by her own party..

Thanks for the reminder that I need to get Ivermectin. In my humble opinion HCQ should be made available to everyone who wants to take it as preventive medicine. This would be much cheaper than lockdowns and seeing all these terrified, masked sheeple.

What has been most bothersome about the coronavirus is not its potential for disability and death but our misguided and ham-handed response to it.
The CDC stats being a hoax is the crux of the problem and now masks have become a political statement.
With this hand cleaning fetish that we have developed, we stand a good chance of making Lady Macbeth look normal.
BTW, in medical cases have anyone ever heard of getting a second opinion?

Sadly, besides herd mentality, another mindset has developed – that “science” is an immutable authority, and its word should be obeyed without question and those that do question it are “deniers” who are endangering everyone else. Especially if that “word” is from a politically-tainted “authority” who has ulterior motives for doling out such advice.

Being 60+.. all I know is that the CDC recommendation of what to do if I get infected is to -> get rest, drink
water, take Tylenol, and…if you can’t breathe…call 911. They come in hazmats, take you to the ER and you’ll maybe have a 50% chance. Don’t believe me? goog it up. I’m sitting here with Hydroxychloroquine, Zinc, and Zpack; (cost < $30) ready to go if I first have covid symptoms. I have a good chance of survival.
