Bloomberg implied farming doesn’t take intelligence in 2016 comments

By Tyler Olson | Fox News

Bloomberg campaign in non-stop damage control

Presidential candidate and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg appeared to belittle both farmers and factory workers in 2016 comments made at a university forum, continuing a trend of old remarks resurfacing to plague the billionaire’s bid for the Democratic nomination.

Joining the Distinguished Speakers Series at the University of Oxford Saïd Business School, Bloomberg was responding to a question about whether it is possible to unite people in middle America and the coasts. One of the issues standing in the way of that, Bloomberg said, was the inability of blue-collar workers to adapt to the information economy even if they have their education subsidized.

“The agrarian society lasted 3,000 years and we could teach processes. I could teach anybody, even people in this room, no offense intended, to be a farmer,” Bloomberg said.

“It’s a process. You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn. You could learn that. Then we had 300 years of the industrial society. You put the piece of metal on the lathe, you turn the crank in the direction of the arrow and you can have a job. And we created a lot of jobs. At one point, 98 percent of the world worked in agriculture, now it’s 2 percent in the United States.”

Bloomberg continued: “Now comes the information economy and the information economy is fundamentally different because it’s built around replacing people with technology and the skill sets that you have to learn are how to think and analyze, and that is a whole degree level different. You have to have a different skill set, you have to have a lot more gray matter. It’s not clear the teachers can teach or the students can learn, and so the challenge of society of finding jobs for these people, who we can take care of giving them a roof over their head and a meal in their stomach and a cell phone and a car and that sort of thing. But the thing that is the most important, that will stop them from setting up a guillotine someday, is the dignity of a job”

Bloomberg, who has faced a litany of negative stories in the past week about his past comments regarding women, African-Americans and others, concluded his point, saying, “the problem is not the redistribution of wealth, it is the job where you go in every day.”

The former mayor’s comments drew the ire of many on Twitter, including the organization “People for Bernie,” which is dedicated to boosting Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. and began before the senator announced his candidacy.

“Time and again we see Bloomberg insulting the middle class and the working class, union members and not yet union members,” the organization tweeted. “Maybe it’s time for pundits to stop pretending he’s just another candidate. Bloomberg is an oligarch spending his play money to buy the White House.”

Joe Biden: “farmers should learn to quid pro code”.

Biden has trouble figuring out where he is and keeping his lies straight, let alone dabbling with logic. I’d love to see him do some Assembly programing. That course typically separates the men from the boys.

I have a friend in Northern Cal who owns and farms 2,000 acres. Raises rice. The farm has been in his family for 150 years. He learned to fly a crop duster bi-plane at the age of 12. If anyone thinks that’s easy go try it. One mistake you die and burn. The family also did crop dusting for several generations. He’s never had a pilot’s license. Anyone who thinks keeping a big farm in the same family for 150 years is welcome to go try it.

Bloomberg’s Rules for Success:
1.)Put China First
2.)Put China Second
3.)Change from Democrat to Republican when needed
4.)Change from Republican to Independent when needed
5.)Change from Independent back to Democrat when needed

6.)Tell pregnant female co-workers to have an abortion.
7.)Become FAKE NEWS “in the flesh” by founding Bloomberg News
8.)Mock farmers
9.)Xerox the faces of minorities to give to the police!

Billionaire Democrat Michael Bloomberg Under Fire for Elitist Ridicule of Farmers…
Posted on February 17, 2020 by sundance

While it is angering to watch this pontificating condescension; at another level it is entirely predictable. Both the old school Fabian socialist outlook and the modern Democrat ideology is based on superiority.

George Bernard Shaw, a founder of modern socialist thought, famously said at some point each citizen should be required to stand before a tribunal and explain their value. If the community does not find value in that person, then society would be better off eliminating them. You can extend that same perspective into almost every policy advocated by the current political left. It’s a short walk from Bloombergs’ speech to the cattle-cars.

When CTH was founded we used this picture below to describe the Democrat Utopia; that picture represented where the outlook of The One true Lightbringer would eventually lead the party. Nothing much has changed except the clarity of their objectives:

That’s like saying “Anyone can be in tech, you press a button, the computer turns on…” this idiot really thinks farmers plant seeds one by one? What a mental midget to go with his stature…

Bloomberg has probably never met a farmer. I have. They are much smarter than I. The farmer’s I have known are skilled people who stay up on the science and technology needed for farming. They combine that with knowledge passed down through generations. You have to be smart to survive farming. Bloomberg is arrogant but his attitude is very common among big Democrat controlled population centers.

Bloomberg made and continues making his money trading on inside information. Bloomberg News is just a sophisticated organization that roots out info Bloomberg uses to enrich himself and his “devoted” followers.
