Gunman Opens Fire In Texas Church, Armed Church Members Take Him Out

Story continues below advertisementA gunman opened fire on church members in White Settlement, Texas. White Settlement, TX – A gunman opened fire at a church Sunday morning before being shot by an armed church member.
The incident happened at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement outside of Fort Worth at around 11:30 a.m., according to KIRO.
KTVT reports that the gunman walked up to a server during communion and started shooting people. That’s when an armed church member shot the suspect. UPDATE: Two armed church members fatally shot the suspect.
The shooting was captured on the church’s service livestream, which has since been taken down.
WFAA reports that the video showed multiple armed church members rushing the shooter after the attack.
Two people were killed in the attack and one person critically wounded. The gunman is one of the two who were fatally short.
Fort Worth spokesperson Mike Drivdahl released a statement which said, “When White Settlement PD and White Settlement Fire Department arrived on scene, they did find a total of three patients that have been transported in critical condition. That includes who they do believe is the shooter, so that is a total of three, including the shooter, who have been transported.”

Late last night, the Texas House approved on second-reading SB 535, which permits concealed-carry holders to carry their sidearms in churches, synagogues, mosques, and other places of worship. The bill strikes one line from the state’s penal code that prohibits concealed-carry in places of worship.
However, churches and other houses of worship will be able to prohibit concealed-carry within their walls should they choose to do so.
Sponsored by Rep. Dan Flynn (R-Van) in the House, the bill is designed to help prevent shootings like that at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs in 2017 and the Poway synagogue shooting in San Diego earlier this year.
SB 535 passed by voice vote on third reading. It is likely to end up on Governor Greg Abbott’s desk for signature.
The 86th Legislature will officially come to an end on Monday, May 27.

My church has banned guns on their property.
I no longer attend that church.

If you watch the video, you will see that there were at least two more good guys with guns, neither of them fired.
So much for the Liberals’ “Hail of bullets” fantasies. How many people was the bad guy planning to shoot?
How many didn’t die because of an immediate response by a good man on the scene?
How many shots would the bad guy have gotten off if people had just called and waited for the police to get there?

People need to tell others WHAT Denomination they attend that do not allow guns by law-abiding citizens in the Church so we know. THEN, maybe the head of that Denomination will think twice when thousands of people leave because they do not feel safe. Better yet, NAME THE CHURCH.

This is why I started taking my gun with me to church several years ago. Chances are nothing will happen, but this stuff will get worse as bad people begin to realize that most churches are soft targets. Our church welcomes people to come, as most do, but that openness makes you vulnerable to people with bad intentions. The only thing you can do is live in fear of outsiders, behind metal detectors and hired guards, or be prepared to protect yourself and others. It’s a good thing there were people in the congregation who were prepared.
You should notice how quickly this was over with. The shooter was only able to shoot twice before he was put down. However, because it was over so quickly, liberals will claim this wasn’t a mass shooting, which they define as more than three, and that people with a concealed carry permit never stopped a mass shooting. The truth is that the reason this didn’t become a “mass shooting” is because you had honest people with guns.
