Trump Orders Navy: Do Not Take Eddie Gallagher’s Navy SEAL Trident Pin

By KristennTaylor, Gateway Pundit, November 21, 2019:

President Trump firmly slapped down the insubordinate Navy Thursday after the service announced it was seeking to punish Naval Special Operations Chief Eddie Gallagher by kicking him out of the SEALs.

This comes just days after Trump restored Gallagher’s rank and pay grade as part of the Commander in Chief’s efforts to redress abuse in the military legal system against combat service members.

Trump ordered the Navy, via Twitter, to not take Gallagher’s SEAL Trident Pin away from him, “The Navy will NOT be taking away Warfighter and Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher’s Trident Pin. This case was handled very badly from the beginning. Get back to business!”

Link to TGP report from Wednesday on the Navy mutiny against Trump with regard to Gallagher. Gallagher on Tuesday filed an IG complaint against the head of the SEALs, Rear Admiral Colling Green, accusing him of uttering contemptuous words against President Trump in a meeting Monday.Green announced he was targeting Gallagher even though Trump had just reinstated his rank following a malicious military prosecution of Gallagher that saw him acquitted of murder charges but convicted of posing with the corpse of an ISIS fighter.

POTUS should not be involved with operational decisions like that. Micromanagement at its worst!

Another “comment” from the one woman goon squad. A directive, issued by the Commander-in-Chief, should be overlooked? Obviously, you are not familiar with the Constitution of the United States of America, nor of the chain of command. To call this “Micromanagement” is beyond the pale. Even Basic Training, you are required to, verbatim, know and recite the first six of Article II of the United States Military Code of Conduct.

That, patd, is true. When she stated that there was no offense, for which the light bird could be court marshalled, I referenced Article 107 of the UMCJ. The light bird would receive five years of imprisonment, dishonorable discharge, and loss of any future benefits. I then told her, that if she had any questions …. to ask her JAG. Of course, she didn’t respond.

Yes, to someone who has a brain that processes like yours does, it all does come out as “mindless venting.” I see you couldn’t respond to my statement. Best, you just lay off the keyboard for a while and “head” straight to your local mental hospital. Have them give you a 7-day a week electro-shock therapy regimen, for maybe a year. If the SEAL command does not want him in one of their units, he should not be there.

Admittedly, the Trident doesn’t mean you are in a SEAL unit, so in some sense Trump’s directive is more symbolic than anything else. Nonetheless, while I don’t doubt the legality of his order, it makes no sense to undercut SEAL commanders the way he did.

Um, wearing the Trident pin absolutely means you are special forces. If not for the SEALS, just who do you think it’s for? Do you know anything about military command structure? If ANYONE other than a SEAL wears the Trident pin, they will be considered ‘out of uniform’ and can be subject to the UCMJ. So, you are clearly uninformed. So, learn about the SEALS, the Trident and special forces before you go spouting off nonsense.

On your abortion question, verbatim quote from Virginia’s governor:

In case you missed this, the first time around … the VERBATIM quote from Virginia’s governor, on that state’s abortion law(s):
“If a mother is in labor…the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and mother”.
Although I am not a physician, this does sound as if a baby, born alive “delivered” (sounds like full delivery, doesn’t it) can be killed, following a discussion between the “physicians and mother”.

Once she gets her ass handed to her, she has to deflect. Typical for a mental patient in her severe condition. The psych doc is trying to help her, but theres only so many electro-shock therapy sessions a day he’s allowed to give her. I mean, at 3X a day, as it is, its already a comedy show, because its supposed to reduce her need for spouting stupid comments. Its actually increasing her penchant for leaving stupid comments. Something the psych doc has never seen before.

Macarthur (sic) was fired for insubordination so that should be a excellent example of CHAIN of command and Truman said the bucks stops here .

Truman fired a four star. Very different matter from getting involved with personnel decisions regarding a Chief Petty Officer.

The situation may actually be worse than I thought- situation is a little unclear to me (Trump is rarely crystal clear about details) but it almost appears that Trump is ordering that Gallagher serve in a SEAL unit. That is quite different to simply having the right to wear the Trident.

Bill, you show no understanding of organizations in general, let alone one as hierarchical one as the Navy. Trump has undercut his own commanders.

The POTUS has the authority to fire anyone in any way he pleases in the Chain of command of the Military . It sounds like you have never served or you would understand that fact . Not that it makes a difference but General MacArthur was 5 stare General when relieved of command . At that level it goes like This # 1 POTUS, # 2 General George C Marshall 5 star chief of staff US Army out ranked MacArthur by 6 days time in grade then #3General MacArthur General of the Army . My understanding of organizations in general is not in question but since you made that statement I would say that would be a better description of you than me it seems ha .

A far as quite a lot of the military chiefs are concerned and along with the various intelligence services, the Democratic Party, a large chunk of Republicans, and the members of the CFR are concerned the POTUS is only a figurehead and should have no power or authority in domestic of foreign affairs. They believe he is not allowed to investigate corruption or overturn the decisions of anti-American servants of the global governance crowd.

From what we have seen over the last three years, especially in the last two weeks, these people in the deep state do not recognize Trump as their Commander and Chief. They have gone behind his back and have been defying his orders and have been conspiring to kick him out of office. They have no problem lying under oath and making up stories to make it look like Trump has done something wrong. They cannot come to terms with the fact that he outsmarts them every time. Every other republican wuss (that’s you Mittens Romney) has folded like an old newspaper at the first sign of trouble from the left. Trump kicks their ass every day and they are losing their collective mind.

Collin Green appears to prefer Hussein Obama’s insane policies to President Trump’s “take-the-gloves-off-and-fight-them-where-you-find-’em” wartime policy.

Made 2 ‘cruises’ roughly 9 mo. each to Vietnam, where we delivered airborn willy peter to coastal villages, fire support, sank sampans, etc,,& a Chinese gun runner, one dark night.& more. 3rd duty station, a more modern Destroyer out of Long Beach. Had Riot training for watts riots, I might have stayed in had I started out on that 3rd duty station. Good officers, crew. I wasn`t on board very long before my discharge. GMG3, On that 1st Destroyer, I was about to test for GMG2, and an officer told me not to take the test….because I didn`t party w/ the crew. No sh%t. That soured me big time on the US Navy. F#@k them. I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God. (Ref 1)

Nothing about POTUS. A general who followed an unlawful order, even from POTUS, could find himself in trouble.

ANY General who thinks they (sic) have more power than the President, … needs to be ousted or court-martialed.

Quite right. Trump knows more than the generals.

Sheesh, it’s not about “power”- it’s about knowledge and operational responsibility. It remains to be seen if Trump’s statement is about Gallagher’s Trident is a lawful order.

He would fit in just fine at CNN, nor would he be the first to do that.

Admiral Green’s days in the Navy are short. He has likely been told to put in his papers or be fired. It is never good to mess with the civilian hierarchy that oversees the military.

THIS ADMIRAL GREEN SUPPORTED PERSECUTION OF A NAVY CHAPLAIN WHO INSISTED ON PRAYING IN JESUS’ NAME AS HIS DENOMINATION/FAITH DIRECTS BECAUSE IT OFFENDED ISLAMIC SAILORS WHO DO A LOT OF THINGS THAT OFFEND CHRISTIANS! HE GOT AWAY WITH IT UNDER THE OBAMA WHO SUPPORTED THE MUSLIMS AND WAS TERRIBLE FOR MILITARY CHAPLAINS! HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON!

Good job by Gallagher filing the IG complaint on the Admiral and exposing his insubordination to DJT who won’t look kindly on it. That POS Admiral is probably the one responsible for the helicopter of SEALS sent on the one-way mission to die so they will stay quiet about the fake Osama story. He is likely responsible for other SEALS charged for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Demote the bastard and throw him out of the Navy. But first, take away the Rear-End Admiral’s Trident and throw him out!

The Navy has decided to ignore President Trump’s wishes and take the Seal’s Trident from him. Late news on Saturday afternoon.

It is a travesty that fine men like Eddie Gallagher are being punished for such inconsequential acts. Taliban, ISIS and al-Qaeda terrorists and jihadists commit the most-heinous human rights abuses possible, such as executing innocent civilians on camera and then posing with their severed heads, but the military career and reputation of a fine SEAL like Gallagher is going to thrown away over such a small thing? Personally, if it was up to me, I’d promote Gallagher, pin another medal on him, and thank him for being the warrior he is on behalf of our nation. But if Big Navy can’t manage that, then write him a letter of reprimand for his file. The fact the man is being railroaded stinks to high heaven, and I for one smell a rat, specifically someone pushing this. Perhaps one of our so-called “allies” in the Arab Middle East.
