Injuries and deaths were reported in the attacks, according to Al Arabiya

Sites belonging to Iranian-backed militias in eastern Syria near the border with Iraq border were attacked late Sunday night, killing at least 21 people, according to A-Sharq Al-Awsat and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The attacks targeted sites in Al Bukamal in eastern Syria near the Iraqi border in the Deir Ez Zor region. The targets reportedly belonged to to multiple Iranian militia, including Iraqi Hezbollah. Israel has reportedly carried out similar strikes in that region in the past.

Injuries and deaths were reported in the attacks, according to Al Arabiya.

According to Sky News Arabia, sites belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards were also targeted.

According to The SOHR, there at least 18 people dead were killed in the attack – carried out by unidentified aircraft. The report said that it was possible that the number of would increase as scores more were wounded in the attack.

On Tuesday, Fox News reported that Iran was building a major military base near Al-Bukamal to hold thousands of troops and precision missiles.

 

President Obama’s JCPOA gave Iran billions of dollars in sanction relief, which it has used to arm Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and others even further.

Iranian proxies destabilizing the region

The Iranian Regime is using proxies in Lebanon 🇱🇧 , Syria 🇸🇾, Yemen 🇾🇪 and Iraq 🇮🇶 to destabilize the Middle East, one attack at a time. Iran heavily relies on its largest proxy, Lebanon-based terrorist organization Hezbollah, to spread violence and war in the region. In the past three decades, Hezbollah has killed and injured thousands of Israelis in rocket attacks, suicide bombings and kidnappings. The Iranian proxy's ongoing activities in Lebanon and around the 🌎 endanger Lebanese and Israeli civilians and pose a grave threat to regional stability.
