Canadian Cleric Younus Kathrada: Congratulating Christians for Christmas is Worse than MurderDuring a sermon delivered at the Muslim Youth of Victoria in British Columbia, Sheikh Younus Kathrada said that Muslims must be offended when people worship Jesus. He explained that congratulating non-Muslims on Christmas and other ” false festivals” is tantamount to approving of them, and that it is a far greater sin than murder, adultery, and other major sins. At the end of the sermon, Sheikh Kathrada stressed that he never calls to kill non-Muslims, who should be treated justly. Sheikh Younus Kathrada was born in South Africa, studied in Medina, and is currently based in British Columbia. He is affiliated with the Vancouver-based Al-Madinah Islamic Society.

Sheikh Younus Kathrada: Nowadays, of course, we are close to Christmas. We see around us that people are preparing themselves to celebrate Christmas, and that with great sadness we see that amongst us there are those who think it’s a small matter, and so, not only might we congratulate them on their Christmas, on their false holiday and celebration, but we may take part in their holiday as well.

Do you know that you and I must be offended when people say that they worship Jesus, or when they say that Jesus is the son of God? Why do our hearts not react?

There are those who will say to them “Merry Christmas” – what are you congratulating them on? [Are these] congratulations on the birth of your Lord? Is that acceptable to a Muslim? Are you now approving of their beliefs? By saying that you are approving of it.

If a person were to commit every major sin – committing adultery, dealing with interest, lying, murder… If a person were to do all of those major sins, they are nothing compared to the sin of congratulating and greeting the non-Muslims on their false festivals.

This doesn’t mean that we treat the non-Muslims in a bad way or that we deal with them unjustly. I’m not saying, and I’ve never said, go out and just kill them, and do this to them… No! Because Allah tells us not to allow the enmity that may exist between you and a people to cause you to be unjust towards them. Rather, be just.

Kathrada’s idea of “justice” is to impose a subservient status on infidels, denying them even due process of law. At least if they are “people of the Book”- if not, far harsher regimens may be imposed. “Justice” in his mind may mean I cannot eat during the day in his holy month, and I certainly cannot criticize his murderous, thieving, pedophile “prophet”, who, truth be known, prophesized nothing (and may well have not even existed).

5 years agoImagine if we started preaching about how evil and barbaric Islam was. At the very least we’d have SJW’s trying to attack us, the police would be arresting us, politicians/media would call it ‘hate speech’ and denounce us as racists/nazis, and Muslims would be issuing rape/death threats against us and our family and some would try to kill us.
But when Muslims incite hate/murder then it’s just another day where the stupid infidels see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. It just shows how well Muslims have been able to train the non-Muslim population to dance to their tune.
I think one day we’re just going to wake up in a civil war and wonder how the hell it could’ve happened. It’s because we are already in a one-side war and we’re not fighting back yet. Once people get sick of the bullying, killing only coming from the Muslim side, then they’ll take matters into their own hands because the cowardly politicians refuse to do anything about it.

The true meaning of Christmas is this: The Babe of Bethlehem whose birth we should be celebrating is really the Creator of the universe. John 1: 1-3
Unfortunately most people we know, and don’t know, miss that message. John 1: 10-11
Be reminded of the real reason behind this season.
Because of His incarnation (God becoming a man) we worship Christ: Through His crucifixion and resurrection He received the Father’s exaltation. Philippians 2: 6-9
What was His purpose for leaving Heaven and coming to earth? To save lost people from their sins. Matthew 1: 21-23
Yet most (year after year) are either ignorant of or downright reject that basic truth about Christmas which reveals the sole purpose behind His birth.
And they refuse to worship Him.
However a day is coming when those who, presently, worship Allah, Buddha, Hindu gods, Mother Earth, themselves (New Age thought) and even Satan himself will, indeed, bend their knees and bow before Jesus Christ.
While true Christians gladly bow before Him, now, as Lord and Savior of our souls: Even though they do not realize it, the lost will (tragically) bow before Him after death as their Judge. Hebrews 9: 27 and Revelation 20: 11-15
My invitation is this: Escape the darkness of death and perdition. The Light of the nations has come! The world’s Messiah has dawned upon lost humanity. Choose to bow before Him now, or suffer the eternal consequences for dying in your sins later.
Either way, you will (someday) bow and declare: “Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father!” Philippians 2: 5-11
