Trump is the greatest. At last we have a President who stands up to the lies and genocidal incitement of the “Palestinians,” instead of constantly treating them as if they were rational participants in a “peace process,” while simultaneously demonizing Israel. Donald Trump is the most pro-Israel President the United States has ever had. He also refuses to bow to the intimidation tactics that the “Palestinians” have used with such success in the past: “U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman’s push for the move picked up steam in May after the Trump administration moved the embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel’s capital, Jerusalem. The Palestinians vehemently objected to the decision and responded with a boycott of all Trump administration officials.” Yet he still stood firm, and downgraded the status of the genocidal Jew-haters’ “diplomatic mission.”

The United States on Thursday downgraded the status of its main diplomatic mission to the Palestinian Authority (PA) by placing it under the authority of the U.S. Embassy to Israel.
Story continues below advertisementThe move, which was immediately denounced by the PA and hailed by Israel, effectively ends the Jerusalem consulate’s independent status, a decision that had previously had faced resistance from within the State Department.
U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman’s push for the move picked up steam in May after the Trump administration moved the embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel’s capital, Jerusalem. The Palestinians vehemently objected to the decision and responded with a boycott of all Trump administration officials.
The U.S. consulate had for years served as a de facto embassy to the Palestinian Authority but will now be known as the Palestinian Affairs Unit of the Embassy to Israel. It will remain in its current location, at least for now, the State Department said.
The step, which was announced by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, means that the Jerusalem consulate will no longer have a separate channel to Washington to report on Palestinian affairs and will no longer be run by a consul general with authorities tantamount to those of an ambassador.
‘Great Day for Israel, Jerusalem, and the US’In a statement, Pompeo said the merger of the consulate into the embassy is intended to “achieve significant efficiencies and increase our effectiveness.” He denied that it signaled any change in U.S. policy toward Jerusalem or the Palestinian territories.
“The United States continues to take no position on final status issues, including boundaries or borders,” he said. “The specific boundaries of Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem are subject to final status negotiations between the parties.”
The administration, Pompeo said, remains “strongly committed to achieving a lasting and comprehensive peace that offers a brighter future to Israel and the Palestinians. We look forward to continued partnership and dialogue with the Palestinian people and, we hope in the future, with the Palestinian leadership.”
Although Pompeo sought to portray the move as a bureaucratic management shift, the downgrading of the consulate has potent symbolic resonance, suggesting American recognition of Israeli control over Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria.
Michael Oren, Israel’s deputy Cabinet minister for public diplomacy and a former Israeli ambassador to Washington, appeared to lend credence to that view in a tweet welcoming the step.
“A great day for Israel, Jerusalem, and the United States,” he wrote. The announcement “closing the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem and transferring its responsibilities to the embassy ends the last vestige of American support for the city’s division. Israel is deeply grateful.”
Palestinians FumeThe Palestinians, who cut off nearly all contacts with the Trump administration after it recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital late last year, meanwhile, quickly denounced it.
Nabil Shaath, the international affairs adviser to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, said it was a “very bad decision” that violated past agreements and continued President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

For those of us to be able to see the bigger picture of all that is outlined in this article, though a great move, the strategy seems to be to wait out the Abbas old guard with the hope that a better educated new PLO will finally recognize their best interests will be best served by accepting Israel and learning to live harmoniously with that nation.

Why don’t they just turn the new “Palestinian Affairs Unit of the Embassy” into a kosher hot dog stand. And give them monthly sales quotas to meet. Let them see what real work is like. If they don’t make them, BACK to paly-land, or some other sh*tstan.

palestines population is a mere 2million but the way people talk about them is as if there are hundreds of millions of them. The problem is that they are part of a greater repugnant ideology, that of islam.
