Kavanaugh Accuser Referred For Prosecution For Lying About Allegations

The man who made the false allegations faces a 10-year sentence.

 by Martin Walsh, Conservative Daily Post, October 1, 2018;

As noted by Breitbart, the man is not only facing up to 10 years in prison for lying to Congress, his apparent loathing of President Donald Trump, and the connections related to it, may explain why he made the false accusations.

In a letter to the FBI and Department of Justice, Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley wrote that the accuser, whose name was redacted, should be investigated for “potential violations of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1001 and 1505, for materially false statements [he] made to the Committee as part of its investigation of allegations against Judge Kavanaugh.”

Story continues below advertisement

“The Committee is grateful to citizens who come forward with relevant information in good faith, even if they are not one hundred percent sure about what they know,” Grassley wrote.

“But when individuals provide fabricated allegations to the Committee, diverting Committee resources during time-sensitive investigations, it materially impedes our work. Such acts are not only unfair; they are potentially illegal,” he added.

Late last month, a Rhode Island man called Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse‘s office and accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting his friend. Soon after Senate investigators probed the allegations, the man in question appears to have admitted via Twitter that he “made a mistake.”

A man named “Jeffrey Catalan” revealed on Twitter late on Wednesday that he was the “witness” who called Whitehouse’s office and claimed that Kavanaugh and Mark Judge, a high school friend of Kavanaugh, assaulted his friend while intoxicated on a boat.

Catalan’s name was redacted in the Committee’s transcripts, but he appears to have outed himself on Twitter. A cursory overview of his supposed Twitter account shows he loathes Trump and wanted the Pentagon to save the nation from “the parasite that occupies the White House.”

So, the man called a Democratic Senator and alleged that Kavanaugh and friend Mark Judge drunkenly assaulted one of his friends. Soon after the Committee reached out and investigated his claim, he immediately recanted and admitted to, essentially, lying.

It’s unclear why he lied and made such a disgustingly false claim, but it appears the Senate is not going to let him get away with it. Lying to Congress is a felony, and the man would spend up to 10 years in prison for his false accusations against Kavanaugh, if proven guilty.

But more importantly, this is just one of many shoddy allegations that has been brought forward against Kavanaugh in recent weeks.

The saga began last month with Christine Blasey Ford, who alleges Kavanaugh groped her at a high school party around 1982. There are no witnesses corroborate the tale and Kavanaugh has vehemently denied any wrongdoing, attending the supposed party, or ever even knowing Ford.

A second accuser, Deborah Ramirez, claims Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a party in 1983. A third accuser, Julie Swetnick, came forward on Wednesday and accused Kavanaugh of taking part in “gang rapes” at parties in the early 1980s.

I’m hoping it’s not the deep-state or rogue FBI agents (like Peter Strozk ) who are investigating the Kav situation.

If they investigate Kav, they need to investigate Christine Ford’s medical records, text messages, social media accounts.

The committee’s big mistake was “outing” how they found out he was lying. They should have left that information out of it.

Just substitute the word “HIS” with “Ford”, “Ramirez”, “Avenatti the creepy”, or Diane Slime-Stein.”

It is kind of pitiful. In the old days they groomed Anita Hill’s falsehoods to a professional sheen but even then only 26% of American women back then believed her. Women are ‘smarter’ now and believe anything they want to believe.

Only 26% of American women believed her. But through the years Hollywood and CNN/MSNBC have perpetuated the myth that she’s a victim and a hero.

She lied about the “phone logs” in Congress, something the FAKE media never highlights.

the threat of jail is needed to deter false accusers.

Christine Ford’s Lie Detector test was RIGGED to have only 2 questions on it. Not one question mentioned Kav’s name. Not a damn single one! But FAKE NEWS media made me believe that the test was “independent”.

Clearly, you do not understand how a polygraph examination works. I do know. I voluntarily took one when I was accused of “inappropriate contact” with a female student. (Didn’t matter– the leftist administration saw this as a way to get rid of a conservative at the top of the pay scale.) Two questions are asked. The first one is to set a baseline and I was instructed to lie. That took some doing since I don’t customarily lie. Anyhow, the examiner finally got readings on pulse, galvanic skin response, etc. Then he asked me if ANY of the allegations against me were true. (He had previously read the file trumped up by LAUSD.) I anwered “NO.” He consulted his instruments and that was that. He said the results corrobrated my answer. Of course the LAUSD “officials” ignored the test. They grandly waved it off and sniffed, “Those tests don’t mean anything. Anyone can beat them.” Then they added, “Besides, we have our OWN standards.”

I believe you where telling the truth. But that is REGARDLESS of the polygraph you took. Once there was a guy who said he was abducted by Aliens and passed a polygraph test.

Actually he is partially correct. At least in my case, i answered truthfully when taking a lie detector test in Salinas ca, and the result indicated I was not being truthful. My feelings of guilt over the injuries i inflicted on a guy in a fight probably were the cause of that result. Regardless the other party refused to take a lie detector test and the SPD detectives dropped the case.

Polygraph tests are based on the questions being covered. The examiner will have a summary of the matter being investigated. He will ask a question based on what he knows from the summary. In the event other material outside of what has informed him is linked to the matter by the subject of the examination — you, in other words — then the results will likely indicate lying. For example, if the brawl you were in caused three people to go to a hospital, and a forth merely slinked off to some corner and nursed his wounds, but the examiner asked somethng like, “The police report said that three people were injured in your fight. Is that true?” But you, knowing that you demolished some other slug, answered “yes,” then, sure, your pulse rate, etc., would indicate that you were lying. So understand clearly: there is a HUGE difference between validating the METHOD and correctly posing the question. There is a saying that might be appropriate here: “It is impossible to make something fool-proof since fools are so creative.” I’m not calling you or your examiner fools. Rather, even if one believes they have all bases covered, there may still be room for something to slip by. And that does not invalidate the method.

There’s a lot of layering and postulate in that reply to a simple statement of fact. The Q presented was “Who swung first”, that was it. All parameters were developed as is proper prior to actual questioning. Based on that result I will never, and warn others as well to never, submit to another lie detector test. That’s it, this isn’t a, “teaching moment” but you seem to enjoy playing professor.

Yeh, it is a “teaching moment” and I was a teacher. Still have my credentials despite the LAUSD trying to get them taken away from me. So did the other guy swing first? What happened before that? Were you sitting quietly and some loud-mouthed jerk came up and without provocation targeted you? Or was there something that you did or said that prompted him to go off?

Yes. Lie detectors are unreliable BUT the media made their viewers think that Christine Ford “believed her own lies”. and that the polygraph supposedly proves she believed them.

The polygraph probably helped fool Chuck Grassley and even other conservatives.

EXCEPT the polygraph was rigged. It’s the biggest piece of evidence that their was an attempt to SYSTEMATICALLY deceive people with “so-called science” and “credentials”.

First, polygraphs are not admissible in Court….second I knew a guy who knew how to beat it ….he just put a tack in his shoe, each question they asked him he would prick himself with the tack….thereby making each answer he gave had the same response which made it look like he was telling the truth…..

Ford is a blithering idiot..a useful idiot for Feinstein….who herself is so politically dirty (along with her cohorts) she should be in Federal prison.
There is no telling how many Chinese who were spying for us and now dead because for almost 20 years she had a Chinese spy working in her home, her office, and driving her around….where is her prosecution?

This commie was also loathing of those “deplorable” (I am proud to be one of them) who voted for Trump and not dusty ovaries. In the meantime, hoping that they send this commie up the river. With that said, it’s of my opinion that Potiphar’s wife (by her appearance) that she is wacko, burned out mentally and most likely was abused by men all of her life but there is no evidence to suggest that the good Judge was one of them.

Not only has the Senate’s Ms. Mitchell found Ms. Ford’s statements not credible, so has Federal Appeals Court Judge Cleveland. I find the last article “The Practice of Ritual Defamation” descriptive of Democratic tactics:

The polygraph is a tool used in this game of defamation.

Sleezeball lawyers are going around selling polygraphs as if they were detailed independent tests. This “polygraph by an ex-FBI agent” thing fooled the Senate Judiciary and journalists.

Rigged with 2 questions and PAID for by the lawyers. and then sold as if they were independent evidence.

Prosecute them all. Not one story has any corroborating evidence. I almost feel sorry for Blasey Ford. She specifically said she did not want to go public, but DiFi thought it was too good to let go. Her look of surprise when asked why she did not avail herself of the offer of testifying in private said it all. Her handlers never told her about it because they wanted the public spectacle. They will throw her away like yesterdays trash when they are through with her.

They MUST do time for helping to ruin a man’t character and pay dearly for it in cash, even if it means selling their home.
