So the EU thinks that there is some “urgency” to “maintain and develop payment channels,” i.e., to keep European money flowing into Iran. Why are Britain, China, France, Germany and Russia so eager to fund Iran’s nuclear program and violent repression of its own people? These short-sighted and venal states deserve the condemnation of all free people for this, and if the Iranian mullahs succeed in firing off nuclear weapons against Israel or anyone else, the blood will be on their hands.

The remaining parties to the Iran nuclear deal said on Monday they agreed to continue work to create a special mechanism to maintain trade with Iran, including in oil, following the US withdrawal from the 2015 pact.
