Tunisia is supposed to be a “moderate” Muslim country, but this news article demonstrates that even “moderate” Muslims have hatred of and contempt for Jews. Islamic Jew-hatred: it’s in the Quran. And so when this group of friends is looking for a suitable site for a summer outing, what better place than in a Jewish cemetery? Even as they’re enjoying an outing, they can’t help but express their Jew-hatred. It is so deeply ingrained into the culture that it is taken for granted everywhere. And if you say a word about it, you’re a racist, bigoted, Islamophobe. The onus is never upon Muslims to renounce this deep hatred; instead, non-Muslims all too often adopt it themselves easily enough, as we are seeing in Europe today with the widespread tolerance of Islamic Jew-hatred.
“Tunisian Muslims barbeque in Jewish cemetery (photos),” Elder of Ziyon, July 20, 2018 (thanks to Mark):
Elie Trabelsi, a prominent Tunisian Jewish businessman, published on his Facebook page a set of photos showing Arabs desecrating an old Jewish cemetery in Sousse and cooking a barbeque.
He was outraged, and he also pointed out that it was against Tunisian law.
The good news is that the Tunisian police actually took this seriously. The mayor of Sousse, Tawfiq al-Oreybi. says that they are investigating and that the police will take appropriate action, stressing that desecrating a cemetery is unacceptable….
