“Moderate” Indonesia: Man gets five years prison for “insulting Islam” on Facebook

17

“Moderate” Indonesia acting in accord with sharia is one thing; Facebook doing the same thing is another. Social media giants have readily accepted the mantle of the new totalitarians.

Why is anti-semitic, anti-Israel propaganda rampant on Facebook, while criticism of jihad and sharia is censored and scrubbed?

There is absolutely no place for one-party rule in a constitutional republic. There is no place for totalitarian speech restrictions on a free society.

They have already blocked my website and newsfeed. Google has scrubbed my website and buried search results critical of Islam, jihad and sharia. How much worse will it get?

“Amnesty International urges govt to release blasphemy convict,” by Gemma Holliani Cahya, Jakarta Post, May 8, 2018 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Amnesty International has urged the government to release Alnoldy Bahari, a farmer from Pandeglang regency in Banten, who was sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to pay Rp 100 million (US$ 7,150) by Pandeglang District Court on April 30 for blasphemy.

In November last year, Alnoldy was reported by his neighbors who accused him of insulting Islam and spreading hate speech on Facebook.

The offending statements included “I am a Muslim and I truly testify that there is no god but Allah. I have seen Allah, have you?” and “If a fake Muslim cleric has entered the political realm, then Quranic verses are not absolute truth anymore”.

He was arrested in December 2017 and charged with blasphemy under Article 156(a) of the Criminal Code, and Article 28(2) of the Electronic Information and Transaction (ITE) Law….

The enforcement of islamic blasphemy laws certainly does seem to be subjective, kinda like their kissing cousin hate speech laws in the dying atheist West.

The atmosphere of an “atheist West” is simply a vulnerable breeding grounds for anything which comes down the pike, including islam.

The atheist lies that ‘all religions are the same’ and that ‘Christianity is just as bad as islam’ have been promulgated for so many decades the leftist atheists (at least) believe their own propaganda.

You have a point; was brought up in that atmosphere from the 1960s, when “all religions are the same”, etc., and I got hooked for awhile.

My public schools from roughly the 8th grade on were atheist indoctrination camps. My university “education” expanded the propaganda to include not only atheism but Communist atheism because as Lenin said:
“Our program necessarily includes the propaganda of atheism.” – Vladimir Lenin

Was taught in a Catholic elementary school beginning in 1950, and at a Catholic high school between 1958-1962. While Catholicism has its shortcomings, at least we were taught moral absolutes, and discipline for misconduct or slacking in our studies was strict. But, by the mid-sixties, did notice that progressivism was taking over. The local Catholic university was beginning to teach watered down theology, and called some Bible history mere epics or stories. I sensed that something was missing. This led to wide-opened breeding grounds for fascist propaganda, and other funny doctrines.

Blasphemy against another’s god…..is that really possible?
Who said their god is my God? If it isn’t my God how then is is blasphemy?
Oh, that’s right. This religion’s interöretation is the new absolute truth whereas my God is relative and therefore not real.

I’m completely confused.

Wasn’t it the left that proported that all truth is relative?

This is tyranny. Plain and simple. Our truth, meaning our religion, is now subordinate to THE official religion of peace.

Here’s a question for everyone: Since conflict seems to be coming for those who do not share in this new absolute truther religion, who then is pushing us towards this conflict?

We don’t want conflict, but it’s being pushed on us. When do we start talking about the real puppet masters?

This is all just surface stuff.

muslims think that sharia applies to everyone, not just muslims. The only way to have a muslim change their mind, is for there to be no muslims.

If the UK passes its mandate, six years in prison for criticizing Islam; it will have much in common with Indonesia. Undoubtedly, other Western nations will follow suit. Wave farewell to democracy.

I wonder if Amnesty International ever has anything to say about the totalitarian, religious apartheid, theocratic, muslum petrostates? Something tells me the answer is no because petrodollars speak more loudly than faux morality.

Europe is following in Indonesia’s footsteps. Britain already arrested a woman for saying Muslims weren’t welcome in her hair salon after the Paris terror attacks:
