This is disgusting. George Washington University has a huge Jewish student body. But Tali Edid is right: “We are disappointed with the outcome of the SA’s decision in passing this bill. The SA showed tonight its inability to condemn antisemitism and proves they don’t have the proper means and knowledge to discuss this topic in the first place.” These students aren’t making informed decisions. They’re indoctrinated leftist bots, filled with the propaganda their professors feed them. This is the evil outcome of that indoctrination.

NEW YORK – StandWithUS, the Israel educational organization, condemned a resolution passed by George Washington University’s student body on Monday calling for divestment from companies that do business with the Jewish state.
Story continues below advertisementThe organization also expressed outrage that the school’s Student Association failed to hold accountable one of its senators for anti-Israel bias before the vote.
“We are disappointed with the outcome of the SA’s decision in passing this bill. The SA showed tonight its inability to condemn antisemitism and proves they don’t have the proper means and knowledge to discuss this topic in the first place,” said Tali Edid, president of GW for Israel and a StandWithUs Emerson Fellow.
Earlier in the evening, the SA failed to censure Senator Brady Forrest for allegedly employing racist rhetoric against Jewish organizations on campus.
Brady, currently an at-large graduate SA senator at the school, wrote in 2014 that groups like GW Hillel and the Jewish Student Association were “complicit with and supportive of the state of Israel and programs and ideology that is exclusive and racist.”
“It is important to note that my problem with these organizations is not because of their religious affiliation/identification but rather the abandoning of religious beliefs at the expense of Zionism,” he added.
The messages were posted on the “Overheard at GW” Facebook group just months after the conclusion of Operation Protective Edge, Israel’s 50-day war with the terrorist group Hamas in Gaza.
According to student body rules, two-thirds of SA senators had to vote in favor of censuring him but only 17 out of 27 chose to do so, leaving him the opportunity to vote on divestment against Israel. As a result, nearly all Jewish students walked out of the SA meeting in protest.
The divestment decision was passed with a vote of 18 in favor, 6 against, and 6 abstention.
The StandWithUs statement comes on the heels of a referendum passed at Barnard College last week calling for companies to divest from Israel….

I’m all for giving students total control of our educational institutions. Hayull … who needs local school boards, have kindergartners run everything. Stop taxing anyone over the age of eighteen, unless still a student, for any single penny that goes to government funded education. If they want to run it .. let ’em pay for it.

California Democrats Seek To Ban Books, Speech That Violate LGBT Priorities

This week, the assembly in the state of California could vote on a bill that would legitimately ban books, shut down churches, and close psychiatric offices all over the state. What, pray tell, is the purpose of the bill? To prevent anyone from being confronted with material that could advocate changing sexual behavior or gender expression. David French of National Review explains:
Assembly Bill 2943 would make it an “unlawful business practice” to engage in “a transaction intended to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer” that advertise, offer to engage in, or do engage in “sexual orientation change efforts with an individual.” The bill then defines “sexual orientations change efforts” as “any practices that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation. This includes efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions, or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same sex.”
This is fully insane.
It’s bad enough for a state to intervene between clients and therapists with regard to changing orientations, as several states have already done — while conversion therapy tends to be ineffective, this is a free country in which people should be able to seek whatever therapy they choose.
But this bill goes further. By suggesting that any attempt to change behavior or gender expression amounts to illegal activity, the state of California essentially bars all transactions involving parenting and religious instruction not in line with the socially leftist worldview. It is a simple fact that most religious people believe that orientation and behavior are two different things, fully distinct: we may have urges toward behavior, but it is our job to sometimes forego that behavior. The state of California would make that perspective jail-able or fine-able. Furthermore, if you’re a parent of a three-year-old who says she feels more like a boy than a girl, you’d be forbidden from buying a counseling book urging you to teach that your girl will likely grow out of that perspective (statistically true) or offering strategies for preventing transgender behavior.
This is tyranny. Full stop. And it’s wildly unconstitutional. Under this law, it could be illegal to sell the Bible or buy the Bible; it could be illegal to attend a religious day school. And this asinine piece of garbage passed two separate committees with flying colors.
It’s nearly unthinkable that the Supreme Court would uphold this law. But stranger things have happened, and we live in an ugly time for advocates of personal and religious liberty.

I stream on TV and when I go to Netflix or Hulu there are tons of commercials for upcoming series…..they are pure hatred, graphic violence, graphic sex, and antisocial series that curls your hair…..
ALL of the violence and sub-human behavior done by the Hollyweird crowd…..
While at the same time they point their finger at us and say we conservative gun owners are the problem?!!
Why isn’t this being brought up in the newspapers, news programs, and politics?

I hope they don’t “ban” the Bible….because that could start a very violent backlash…and it is completely unconstitutional….someone needs to show these people the films of Hitler banning and burning all books he didn’t want anyone to read……
…..how did we get back here after all the “blood and treasure” spilled over things like this that got us into a World War?

It’s the fault of the parents for allowing their children to protest and for allowing the school to let the students leave class on a school day. Irresponsible adults were the issue there.

Half of the kids’ parents went to college on the Taxpayer’s money…..and don’t forget the “diversity” money that flowed into the university coffers since Carter and all the way through Obama……top professors used to be lucky if they made $50,000 a year…..now most can make from $200,000 to $400,000!!!!!

Big deal. A lot of alt left athletes and actors got through school on athletic and arts scholarships, taking spots away from those who actually studied hard to get good grades to get in. Plus once in, they attend a special stream of classes (ie easy classes since all alt left are too stupid to pass a real university course), and are given degrees for just partying, playing ball or acting. After graduating they make big bucks and donate to alt left pro terrorist causes, and get tax deductions for it. So basically the working class gets taxed to death to finance these alt left freeloaders into millionaires.

Not everyone knows what BDS is. There should be an explanation for non-American readers. Apparently Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions against Israel for alleged Israeli atrocities? What about a similar movement for real atrocities committed by Muslim countries against their minoriities.

Yes, the U.S. gives aid to tons of corrupt Muslim countries as well, to be honest. The U.S. gave anywhere from $10-20 billion in aid to Pakistan alone, and still funded them even after bin Laden was found in their country.

The students must be suspended and de-indoctrinated by explaining why their decision is wrong.

What needs to happen is President Trump needs to do an Executive Order stopping ALL FEDERAL FUNDING to any and all institutions who cannot show a free and open environment for learning….and no restrictions on Bibles or Conservatives…..
….if a Professor is caught stopping free speech, or failing kids who have conservative viewpoints, or teaching “revisionist” history that is not what actually happened….they are fired on the spot…tenor or no tenor……
