Muslim arrested in Christmas bomb plot ‘only became a devout Muslim a year ago,’ then BOOM

23

So therein lies the rub. One never knows when any Muslim may go jihad. In each of these horror stories, secular Muslims become religious, and boom. Literally. And why is that? Because holy war, jihad, is a religious imperative under Islam. It’s not a mental illness. It’s not hijacking. It’s not radical. It is Islam. This is why mosques must be monitored and no foreign funding of mosques should be allowed.

The idea that all of these newly devout Muslims and/or converts somehow misunderstand Islam somehow is absurd and counteractive. How did this “misunderstanding” of islam become so widespread? It’s absurd.

  • Terror suspect Andy Sami Star came to Britain as an asylum seeker ten years ago
  • Until last year he’d shown no interest in Islam, according to his former girlfriend
  • Previously the 31-year-old would drink glasses of wine and celebrated Christmas
  • Star was arrested on Tuesday at a flat above his Mermaid Fish Bar in Chesterfield

  • Joanne Mallinson broke up with Star due to increasingly strident religious beliefs

Andy Sami Star, 31, came to Britain as an asylum seeker ten years ago, passing his British citizenship just three months ago.

Until this last year the ‘charming and friendly’ fish fryer had shown no interest in Islam, according to his former girlfriend, but he then became ‘obsessed with religion’.

Previously he would drink wine and celebrated Christmas, even wearing a Santa-type hat on a Christmas Day trip.

Joanne Mallinson, who was in a relationship with Andy Sami Star for around five years, told how she broke up with him due to concerns about his increasingly strident religious beliefs

Star was arrested by counter-terrorism police on Tuesday at the flat above his Mermaid Fish Bar in Chesterfield, where he worked with his brother and handed out copies of the Koran to staff, according to a friend.

He was one of four terror suspects arrested on suspicion of preparing or instigating acts of terrorism in dramatic raids by armed police in Sheffield and Chesterfield.

Police said the four suspects – aged 31, 36, 22 and 41 – remained in custody and detectives have been given until Christmas Day to question them.

Joanne Mallinson, who was in a relationship with Star for around five years, told how she broke up with him due to concerns about his increasingly strident religious beliefs.

‘One day he never prayed and the next day he was going to pray every day and he took it seriously,’ the 33-year-old said.

‘I don’t know why but it literally happened overnight. He said he wanted to change his life and started praying.’

Restaurant worker Miss Mallinson met Star when she worked with him at a chip shop in Sheffield.

‘He never socialised and spent all his time with me,’ she said. ‘Andy drank wine and beer and showed no interest in religion although he was a Muslim.’

Star’s first name is Hazhar but he called himself Andy after an Armenian singer songwriter. He had grown a beard recently.

Miss Mallinson said Star arrived in the UK from his homeland Iraqi Kurdistan, where he still has family, about ten years ago.

He was later granted indefinite leave to stay and passed his citizenship test three months ago.

The couple saw each other ‘on and off’ until about six months ago, with Miss Mallinson saying that even after his religious transformation Star was ‘very much against Isis’.

But his devotion to religion ultimately broke up their relationship. ‘He totally changed and was not the person I knew anymore,’ she said.

‘I am not a Muslim and I didn’t want to go down that route …Towards the last few months all he would go on about is Islam.’

Miss Mallinson said she was shocked by news of the police raid at the chip shop, as despite her fears about Star she believes he is an unlikely terror suspect, adding: ‘He was everyone’s friend and was always willing to help people, he was very caring.

‘I have been in shock all day.’

Other friends also expressed shock that he was a suspect.

Jordan Batteson, 25, who lives near the Mermaid Fish Bar, said: ‘He was a really nice guy, really friendly. I used to go in there to get my chips. He gave the staff copies of the Koran.’

A close friend of Star said: ‘I can’t believe it … I don’t know what happened, he was a nice guy … I am sure he is innocent.’

It seems that converts are always the worst.

Hi, Pray Hard. Although I “upvoted” your comment, I disagree. A moslem is a moslem is a moslem. They’re ALL the same.

Not necessarily so. The born muslims laugh at how hard the converts try, falling over themselves watching the newbies obeying things that they had forgotten since childhood and each competing with then other converts to show how “muslim” they are. it is nauseating to observe and racially embarrassing to see how they crawl. If he was Armenian and a muslim they had IIRC a long war history(many centuries) with Azerbaijan and there was no love lost at all between them so an Armenian muslim is almost a contradiction in itself.

“Andy Sami Star, 31, came to Britain as an asylum seeker ten years ago, passing his British citizenship just three months ago.” Perfect. They can and should revoke it, since he just proved he’s not serious about being a productive citizen.

I think this is a great starting point of trying to figure out the shift from “peaceful” to “terrorist” that is hidden in the islamic texts. Is it sin? Do these people have so much sin built up in their subconscious that the thought of redemption is so unlikely for them that they jump at a sudden realization that there could be a shortcut to paradise by killing infidels? Christianity can have this effect on new converts too. The promise of salvation through Christ is fantastic. Some people receive the good news and go completely off the deep end. The difference is, Christianity’s “deep end” means praying non-stop at unhealthy levels and donating all your belongings to a megachurch (not harmful to anyone)……Islam’s “deep end” is getting weapons and killing infidels. The common thread is redemption from personal sin. My new line of thought when there is an Islamic attack, and Muslims call me racist for calling out their religion over it is to ask, “do you think he is going to heaven or hell for this act?”.

It doesn’t matter what you or I think. What matters is what he believes and IF we made burying jihadist in pig offal a norm, I can guarantee that the murder/violence rate will drop as UNLIKE the communists and Japanese who sacrificed their lives for the greater good these scum only kill to enhance their own personal heavenly opportunities.

When someone embraces and then “converts” to islam, or when a muslim makes that commitment to fully embrace islam, that’s when the satanic seed that sprouted when they first embraced islam begins to bear it’s demonic fruit. Every single muslim has given him/herself over to satan when they embrace islam, every one of them, there are no exceptions.

No such thing as a “moderate muslim” or “radical muslim”, just those who babes in islam and those who have matured in islam, because islam is islam, period.

Better yet, if he “resists arrest” shoot him in the head. Why imprison him? He’ll get early release, poison other minds while in prison and do it again.

Not a good idea trials though expensive as is incarceration but they gets Islamists into the news. A dead terrorist is forgotten in a week.

You do have a legitimate point, a bit of expense is involved, but might be ok.

Why bother landing the airplane? Just drop him from 10.000 meters over his home country. He wants to be martyred, after all.

We hear this over and over again he was a ‘nice guy’ until he was bitten by the Islam insanity bug. This is why no Muslim can be trusted. They can seem perfectly nice ‘normal’ people and then they are stabbing and blowing up people in no time when they become ‘devout’
And NB he wanted to kill British people 3 months after getting his citizenship!!!

That is what they always say but over night they can turn on us just like that. Muslims belong in Muslims countries. Period

‘He totally changed and was not the person I knew anymore,’ she said. I’ve seen this happen. Years ago, pre-9/11, in the Toronto area I through business developed a pleasant acquaintanceship with a then nominal Muslim man from Lebanon. But then, suddenly, he ‘became religious’, at noon each day attended mosque – and turned into an angry, hate-filled, foul-mouthed man. Why this transformation? As Mosab Hassan Yousef – former Palestinian Muslim, aspiring terrorist and son of the founder of Hamas, today a Christian – explains, Allah is a “criminal god”. In fact he is Satan, so Muslims are in fact praying to Satan – and reaping the consequences by transforming into vile people. More Muslims allowed into a country means more disharmony, hatred and violence.

Gee the Shi’a muslums are against ISIS too, but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t lop my head off in a hot second from insulting their prophet or blaspheming their religion.
