Video and Photos: Jew-Haters Protest Israel Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall – Again

51

October 25th, 2017, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) gave a concert & gala at Carnegie Hall.
This was fantastic, yes?

Nope. These anti-Israel / anti-Zionist groups did not agree.

Story continues below advertisement

They organized ANOTHER anti-Israel protest outside Carnegie Hall aimed at delegitimizing the State of Israel.
AGAIN.

Each year, anti-Zionists return to protest the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra [IPO]
(For previous IPO Carnegie Hall protests, follow links to 2011 and 2012.)

Fortunately, their lies and hateful anti-Semitism did NOT go unchallenged.

The Jewish Defence League and other Zionists were there to “Stand Up For Israel”
To “Stop the lies” and “Stop the hate!”

AM YISRAEL CHAI!

Flickr Slide show of both sides:

Some anti-Israel protest chants compliments of Adalah NY and the other anti-Zionists.

Protest musical accompaniment – OUTSIDE Carnegie – was provided by the eponymous, Rude Mechanical Orchestra. [Facebook]

Adalah, however, remains OFFENDED the IPO representing the State of Israel across the world. “Let the IPO know that apartheid is out of tune.

“It (the IPO)”, says Adalah, “serves as a cultural ambassador for the State of Israel, playing a public role in the official Israeli propaganda campaign. Brand Israel uses art and music to distract attention from Israel’s human rights ‘abuses’ and ‘ethnic cleansing’ of the ‘Palestinian’ people.”

Adalah claims that, “the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is not an apolitical cultural institution.”

“We (Adalah and other anti-Zionists) are responding to the call from ‘Palestinian’ civil society to boycott cultural institutions that are complicit in Israel’s ‘systematic repression’ of the Palestinian people living under Israeli ‘military occupation’ in the West Bank and Gaza Strip as unequal citizens in Israel or as refugees denied their right of return to their homeland.”

BTW- Adalah (the protest host for the evening) was connected in 2007 to the infamous Intifada NYC T-shirt .

Former Brooklyn Principal, Debbie Almontaser, defended the t-shirts, telling the NY Post that “intifada” meant “shaking off” that the shirts represented women “shaking off” oppression. …. Peace be upon you ….

And now, the REAL STORY behind the Israel Philharmonic and its ORIGINS:

“Since its inception in 1936, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra has been dedicated to presenting exceptional music to audiences in Israel and throughout the world. From its inaugural concert, conducted by Arturo Toscanini, world-renowned soloists and conductors have performed with the IPO.

On December 26, 1936, the Palestine Symphony played its first concert in Tel Aviv under the baton of Arturo Toscanini. A staunch anti-Fascist, the legendary conductor enthusiastically accepted Huberman’s request to join the Symphony as a demonstration against Nazism, declaring, “I am doing this for humanity.”

“The public reception to this inaugural performance was overwhelming, with crowds standing outside near the windows and even climbing on rooftops in an attempt to hear the Symphony. The ovation at the end of the night lasted over 30 minutes.”

“The IPO is Israel’s foremost cultural ambassador and travels throughout the world, particularly to countries where there is little or no Israeli representation. In some cases, performances of the IPO are the only example of Israel’s existence.”

“The goodwill created by these tours, which included historic visits to Japan, Argentina, Poland, Hungary, Russia, China and India, is of enormous value to the State of Israel.”

Unfortunately, the anti-Israel protests never stop; good-will be damned.

NEXT WEEK, on Thursday, November 2, I found two more anti-Israel events. FYI: November 2nd, 2017 marks the 100-year anniversary of the Balfour Declaration.

“At 5:30 pm, outside Israeli Embassy at 42nd St and 2nd Ave, a rally to “protest 100 years since the Balfour Declaration, to protest 100 years of colonization”, hosted by NYC Students for Justice in Palestine . The SJP claims that the Balfour Declaration was the first step toward the objective of political Zionism. [Face Book]

They will gather to protest the continued occupation of “Palestine” by “Israeli Zionist forces.”

NYC Students for Justice in Palestine
Committee to Stop FBI Repression NYC
American Muslims for Palestine – NJ Chapter
Religious Center · Nonprofit Organization
Jews for Palestinian Right of Return
Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network
NY4Palestine
Al-Awda NY: The Palestine Right to Return Coalition
Labor for Palestine

Also, at the United Nations, on November 2, 2017, from 3 PM – 4:30 PM, “100 yrs of the Balfour Declaration and impact on Palestinians” · Hosted by United Nations Division for Palestinian Rights.

The LIES Never Stop.

“The United Nations Palestinian Rights Committee cordially invites you to a lecture on the Balfour Declaration and the impact it has had on the Palestinian people. The lecture will be delivered by Professor Rashid Khalidi, the Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University and director of the Middle East Institute of Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs in the ECOSOC Chamber of the United Nations Secretariat in New York. It will bring together a broad range of participants, including members of the diplomatic community in New York, UN staff members, representatives of civil society organizations and the general public.”[Face Book]

Do “palestine” have anything resembling Philharmonic Orchestra? Never heard about it. Their only supported (and well paid) instrumentalists are “percussionists” from Hamas and Islamic Jihad (you, know, capable of making very big boom and noise with their explosives) plus they are masters “to play” on our nerves (anytime I hear about “palestine” or “palestinians,” I experience nausea).

I grew up under apartheid, for ten years thanks to a surprisingly free South African press spoke my mind against the policies, and know that Israel does not have apartheid. Protecting yourself as Israel does, again murderous, worthless, oxygen thief Muslims consumed by mindlessly stupid and cruel Islam, does not amount to apartheid, it represents wise security again demented morons who wallow in trash Muslim teachings fit for imbeciles. These anti-Israel protestors are simply stupid, ignorant, probably anti-Semitic and like most Muslims, a waste of oxygen.

Seems to me that all the “palistinians” know how to do is destroy anything that has to do with beauty and/or culture. What “land” did they ever ‘settle’?

Palestinians don’t want peace. Never have never will. They want to destroy Israel. As do all muslims. There can never be peace. So next best solution. If your muslim….Go to any of the dozens of 100% muslim countries to live. Or be expelled. Problem solved.

The LORD has blessed Israel with a musical culture far exceeding any other nation; Israel’s enemies protest because they don’t have what Israel has. I have seen performances of virtuoso violinists, most of whom are Jews, and they really bless me. I see how orchestras employ percussion when appropriate — and not for destruction of innocent people. All 150 Psalms (mostly of David) in the Bible were set to music, along with Jeremiah’s lamentations, and so on.

Imagine if this were to protest the alleged, so-called Palestinians, whose instruments are for maiming and killing. The MSM and the Pals’ numerous allies would be shouting racism, bigotry, yada, yada, yada! The anti-Semitic left along with the spurious, bogus Palestinians, of course, will never be charged or indicted for spewing anti-Semitic-Israel vitriol. Hatred, especially of Jews, is the foundation of their wanton creed. The Israel Philharmonic is the antithesis of everything this bilious degenerates are opposing. The former, the Israel Philharmonic is one of inspiration and artistry, while the latter is bound to an inherent ideology of hatred, depravity, bloodletting and ultimately, genocide of Israel and world Jewry. No one is immune to this legion of hatred whether one is notably a Jew/Israeli, but Christians and those of other faiths, excluding Islam, are also in jeopardy. The barbaric Palestinians and their fetid Leftist allies will not be content until their objective is accomplished, the eradication of Israel. Others will be soon to follow.

True, the world is awash with, as mentioned, useful idiots so-called friends of Palestine. Christians of this mythomaniac persuasion blame Jews for Jesus’ crucifixion. I recall as a child, albeit years ago, this doctrine was rife within most Christian denominations. It was a challenge getting home from school without being threatened. Nothing has changed, a millennia of anti-Semitism, it has no end.

There, however, are Christians, more often than not, evangelicals who stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel. Those of a more jaded disposition perceive the evangelicals bent on converting Jews to Christianity. All this loathing and hatred over Christ, who was a Jew not a Christian. We could go on and on but in the end, anti-Semitism is fashionable among the leftist-progressives and others of their like. Christians are also held in utter contempt among the godless left. The same cannot be said about Islam; they are deemed an ally.

Some of them are just ignorant, others were the real propagandists. In fact last Christmas season in my church in Indonesia I encountered a preacher (a woman) using the plight of Arab Christians in Bethlehem but blaming the Israeli checkpoints, no mentions of Islamic violence there.

This comes as no surprise, Lukas, nor is your preacher an anomaly preaching anti-Semitic vitriol to their congregations. Jews and, of course, Israel are easy prey among the self-righteous. It has been thus throughout the ages.

Debating with friends that for Jews nothing has changed over the aeons, especially pre-World War II to this day. Yes, the birth of the Sate of Israel in 1948 was granted; however, to this day there are innumerable politicians, an array of leftists and indeed, those of and extreme right faction, the entirety of Islam whose anti-Jew/Israel sentiment is indistinguishable from those of Hitler’s Third Reich.

You, obviously, are in disagreement with you preacher, Lukas. This is where one person’s voice can make a difference, by debate or being inquisitive of her apparent antisemitic worldview. A myriad are spewing antisemitic slogans and perpetrating violence against Jews. It is, however, a deep-seated from which hatred and assault affects not only Jews but Christians and other faiths, excepting Islam. Man, I didn’t want to write a book, sorry.

Here is a part of a quote by a prominent German pastor: Martin Niemoller

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

What a treat that would be to hear this orchestra!
I would imagine is was beautiful!
A sad reality is that as our country gets more third world trash, this won’t be appreciated. They prefer more primitive ‘music.” Europe will see the same thing happen – plus Muslims would never approve of this. They CHANT to their allah.

Not sure what you mean by that. There has never been an independent polity named Palestine. Not before Mohammad, and not since. Until 1967, there was never a people who considered themselves “Palestinians” (although Jews in Palestine before 1948 sometimes referred to themselves that way.)

Palestinians, Islamists, antifa and their stupid cohorts, the ‘useful idiots’ of America, are the true threat to Jews in the United States. These lowlifes should not be tolerated and life for them here should be most unwelcoming. Most all of them are also anti-Christian and anti-American.

Most younger Americans today seem to hate Israel even more than they hate the Islamic State. I went to a very liberal university, and most of the students there regarded Muslims very positively, and were relatively neutral or indifferent on Muslim terrorism.

But music = pleasure, which many Muslims find to be an abomination. Where are the Palestinian and Somali symphony orchestras? Too busy fighting and planning mayhem to learn music, presumably. A good example of that hatred of simple earthly pleasures was encapsulated by the Taliban, when they were in control in Afghanistan: as even the left-wing Guardian newspaper reported, “Having fun was punishable by death. Music, apart from religious chants,
was banned. Illegal cassettes intercepted by Talibs were torn apart, the
tape wrapped around the branches of trees. The ban did not stop at
tapes and CDs, but extended to musical instruments and singing. Even
songbirds, once in abundance in the marketplaces, were outlawed”
