Germany: “HUGE increase” in female genital mutilation (FGM)

When we went to Columbia University for our video series, we asked students if Planned Parenthood should fund female genital mutilation. The overwhelming response was yes. That should frighten every rational human in America.

The customs of the savage sweep across Europe. Any society that tolerates the deliberate mutilation of women and girls can no longer call itself part of the civilized world.

Where are the feminists? What a phony movement.

The number of women and girls at risk for female genital mutilation (FGM) in the United States has more than doubled in the past 10 years. More than half a million women and girls in the U.S. are at risk of undergoing FGM in the U.S. or abroad, or have already undergone the procedure, including 166,173 under the age of 18, according to the Population Reference Bureau (PRB).

Unlike male circumcision, female genital mutilation has no health benefits for girls and women.

Female genital mutilation (FGM) involves partial or total removal of the clitoris, causing injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons.

Female genital mutilation procedure has no health benefits for girls and women. It removes all possibility of sexual pleasure. It is the worst kind of misogyny.

Procedures can cause severe bleeding and problems urinating, and later cysts, infections, as well as complications in childbirth and increased risk of newborn deaths.
More than 200 million girls and women alive today have been cut in 30 countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, where FGM is concentrated.

FGM is mostly carried out on young girls between infancy and age 15.

FGM is a violation of the human rights of girls and women.

Unlike male circumcision, this procedure has no health benefits. It has one purpose and one purpose only, to remove the female’s most sensitive erogenous zone and the source of human female sexual pleasure. Chalk it up to another of Islam’s constitutions to [in]humanity.

‘Huge increase’ in female genital mutilation in Germany

Germany experienced a sharp increase in the number of women who have been subjected to genital mutilation, which is illegal in the country, an advocacy group has said. There are now more than 58,000 women affected by FGM, 10,000 more than the year before.

The estimate was published Tuesday by the women’s rights organization, Terre des Femmes, who said the increase was largely due to the influx of migrants from countries where female genital mutilation (FGM) is practiced.

“Due to the arrival of migrants from countries such as Eritrea, Somalia and Iraq, we have recorded a huge increase in the number of affected women and threatened girls,” said spokeswoman Charlotte Weil to DPA Tuesday, as cited by The Local.

Furthermore, there is currently more than 13,000 girls in Germany who are at risk of being forced into the procedure by their families, a 4,000 increase over last year, the group said.

“We don’t know of any cases where a girl was mutilated in Germany. It either takes place on a holiday back in their homeland, or during a visit to a practitioner in a city such as Paris or Amsterdam,” Weil added.

FGM is illegal in Germany, but is tolerated in many African countries as well as some in Asia. More than 200 million women worldwide are affected by female genital mutilation, according to Unicef.

While culturally entrenched in some countries, FGM is widely criticized by many health professionals and rights groups. The procedure may cause health problems depending on how exactly it is performed and has no health benefits.

Weil advised teachers to pay attention to young girls in their classes, especially if they share plans to go home for a “big festival.”

Some 280,000 migrants fled to Germany from their war torn and conflict ridden countries in 2016 – a decline on the 890,000 that arrived the previous year, according to Reuters.
