“Hacking” is the new “cause celebre” of the liberal left. Sore losers in the 2016 election are desperately attempting to explain away the landslide victory of Donald Trump by claiming “the Russians did it.” While Russia may not have hacked our elections in 2016 (at least not beyond giving voters an inside look at the total depravity of Clinton & Co.), that does not mean we are safe from foreign cyber-attacks, according to Jeff Baron, an Internet pioneer and victim of Chinese “cyber-pirates.”
Everyone forgets that any “hacking” which may have occurred was made virtually certain when President Obama gave away American control of the Internet to a global bureaucracy called the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
“ICANN is arguably the single most powerful institution in the world as it relates to the global economy and communication,” says Baron in an interview with The Daily Caller. “ICANN will be an extremely attractive target for bad actors who desire to either enrich themselves, control others, or otherwise influence the geopolitical landscape.”
Now outside of American control, the Internet is susceptible to manipulation and control by our enemies — even radical Islam. Baron chillingly remarked to the Geller Report:
“For rogue states like Iran, corrupting ICANN and controlling the Internet will be an easier task than acquiring nuclear weapon.”
Current events back up Baron’s fears. Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, parts of North Africa, and most Middle Eastern countries already censor the Internet — with help from an American company called “Secure Computing Corporation.”
Secure Computing Corporation dates back to the beginning of the Internet and was created by the NSA / NCSC; almost as old as ICANN, Secure Computing Corporation is one of the only companies equipped to protect America’s collective “network” — specifically, the millions of private and public Internet users in the U.S. Over half the Fortune 50 and 500 use Secure Computing to protect their networks.
Secure Computing Corporation is tasked with stopping foreign hackers; and the same company is actively helping foreign dictators, and terrorist regimes (the bad guys who hack us), undoubtedly making America less safe.
Sharing software meant to protect Americans from hacking with our avowed enemies in tandem with “giving away the store,” means more than “hacks” are possible.
Baron told Geller Report that the barbaric Islamic desert code known as “Sharia law” — the only ideology that prohibits more speech and expression than Communism and Nazism — can now theoretically be imposed on the Internet and our government’s only recourse is to “hope” that doesn’t occur:
“Even Sharia law with its strict speech codes could theoretically be imposed on the Internet, since there will be no American referee to defend western values like freedom of the press and free speech.”
Imagine if Google searches for “Muhammad cartoons” or “Pamela Geller” suddenly were met with a “404” domain error notice? Sadly, that is already occurring in Denmark — recently ground zero in the battle for Western Civilization. Like a scene straight out of Twilight Zone, the once freedom-loving Danes decided to “fix” Muslim cartoon riots not by arresting (or deporting) the rioters, but by passing Goebbels-esque online speech codes.
Post-cartoon riot Denmark now defines “hate” as anything accurately depicting Islam and its generally flammable “extremists.” Denmark’s answer to Muslims who make death threats to cartoonists: Jail and fine cartoonists and other critics of Islam.
Online censorship is not the only worry, Baron elaborates.
Hackers — FROM IRAN — almost succeeded in crashing the U.S. stock market in a 2011 attack. Apart from regulating global market transactions, the Internet is a cash-cow all its own, generating $8 trillion in wealth annually ($2.6 trillion of which is created in America.)
“It’s like a ship of gold launched into a sea full of pirates. If the journey is short enough, the ship can reach its destination safely. But, as the length of the journey increases, the chances are that the gold ends up in the hands of the hijackers,” Baron colorfully explains.
WHO IS JEFF BARON?
Baron is an Internet pioneer who invented technology competitive with Google during the early days of the Internet. He had web sites with over 1 million visitors per day and monthly traffic of 50 million. It was at this time that a corrupt, Clinton-appointed activist judge in Dallas named Royal Furgeson illegally confiscated all of Baron’s property (valued over $100 million) and distributed it to the Chinese cyber-pirates, all while denying Baron his constitutional right to an attorney. [SEE MY ORIGINAL REPORT: Dallas Judges Shred Constitution, Steal Millions]
Huffington Post (HuffPo) technology writer Pritom Das got the scoop, and wrote a hard-hitting expose about the illegal transfer of Baron’s websites to the Chinese shortly before the 2016 presidential election.
“Take the case of internet entrepreneur Jeff Baron. A federal court judge in Texas authorized the transfer of Internet domain names by court-appointed domain pirates to sophisticated cyber criminals in the far East,” reports Das.
“These domain names were unlawfully seized from Baron and sold at black-market prices for the sole enrichment of these unsavory sellers. The black-market prices paid for Baron’s domain names by these Chinese Cybercriminals, affects all Americans every day,” Das continues. “Moreover, this outrageous Texas Court Order undermined what in my opinion would have revolutionized and expanded the Internet for all Americans,” Das explains.
WHAT IS BARON DOING NOW?
After Baron’s ordeal with Chinese cyber-corruption by way of American courts, and immediately following Obama’s decision to let U.S. control and ownership of the Internet to expire, BARON DECIDED TO FIGHT BACK.
Baron is currently attempting to voice his concerns with President-elect Donald Trump through his new Internet Freedom Project (IFP). The IFP is requesting that Trump add the words, “Make the Internet American again” to his already impressive list of new foreign policy pledges.
“I hope President-elect Trump realizes this and will take steps to repatriate the Internet, much like we take steps to guard our other national treasures,” Baron told The Daily Caller in a recent interview.
Much like China’s 300 million Internet users cannot search for phrases like, “fall of the Berlin Wall,” or find images from the “Tiananmen Square massacre,” America will now know the joys of having its information cherry-picked.
ICANN (if not retaken) will now reflect the values of the biggest, loudest, or squeakiest “stakeholders” (mostly governments and borderless corporations like Google, Facebook and Twitter — all of whom currently engage in censorship already.)
