Pamela Geller, WND: “Islamic Jew-Hatred Ads”

Here’s my column that ran last week at WND:

DEFENDING THE WEST
“Islamic Jew-hatred’ bus ads hit D.C. streets
Exclusive: Pamela Geller drives left nuts with latest advertising campaign

Our AFDI bus ads hit the streets last Wednesday in Washington, D.C. Truth is beauty, and these ads are truly beautiful. They include the photo of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini, meeting with Adolf Hitler, and read: “Islamic Jew-Hatred: It’s In the Quran. Two-thirds of all U.S. aid goes to Islamic countries. Stop racism. End all aid to Islamic countries. IslamicJewHatred.com.”

Story continues below advertisement

Our ads are in response to vicious Jew-hating ads that American Muslims for Palestine, or AMP, unleashed on Washington Metro buses last month. And might I add, had we not sued and won in New York City and Washington for violating our First Amendment rights when they tried to refuse our previous ads, these ads might never have gone up. Those were major victories in the war on free speech. Our ad campaigns are critical to informing the public of the truth. The disinformation and Islamic propaganda from the media, academia and the entertainment industry is piled so high and so thick, and there is a blacklist on truth tellers. But with our ads, we leapfrog over the leftist/Islamic propaganda machine. Excelsior!

The D.C. Metro transit authority made multiple demands for the substantiation of every claim in our ad before they would accept it, and I, of course, happily provided that substantiation. The libelous AMP ad (which read, “We’re sweating April 15 so Israelis don’t have to! Stop U.S. aid to Israel’s occupation!”) did not have to provide substantiation. The MTA had no problem with their anti-Semitism. And you cannot provide evidence of a smear and a bigoted lie. But it is proof of the AMP’s hate.

The AMP ad also depicted Uncle Sam with the Star of David. Nuts. Think about the billions we are giving to Muslim Brotherhood jihadists in Egypt and Libya, Gaza, Judea and Samaria, the Taliban in Afghanistan, etc. Uncle Sam holding a flag of jihad would be more appropriate.

The AMP is run by Dr. Hatem Bazian. Hatem Bazian is the Berkeley College professor who equated the Boston jihad bombings with “Islamophobia.” He also was angry at my ads: “A requirement of Bazian’s class, entitled De-Constructing Islamophobia and History of Otherness, is for students to get reactions from ‘people of color’ on ads critical of radical Islam placed by Pamela Geller, author of the blog Atlas Shrugs.” Bazian required his students to tweet weekly on Islamophobia (more on that here). Other names you will find associated with this group are Rashid Khalidi, the “Palestinian” propagandist who is a professor at Columbia; the notorious radical cleric Imam Ziad Shakir; anti-Semitic professor Dr. Norman Finkelstein; and Max Blumenthal, another self-loathing anti-Semite. This is a nasty Hamas-supporting group.

The media, meanwhile, are in full damage-control mode, calling our ads “anti-Islamic” or “anti-Muslim.” Funny how ads that are factual and true are called such names. That just about says it all. And Islamic Jew-hatred is all but accepted by the media and cultural elites – it’s talking about it that’s the problem.

It is interesting how the media never look into what is said in the ad – that Islamic Jew-hatred is in the Quran or that two-thirds of all U.S. aid goes to Islamic countries. No. They just obsess over my unmitigated gall to repeat it. It’s my saying it that’s the problem. The truth is the problem. That is why we find ourselves incapable of dealing with the gravest threat this nation faces. The problem is that we can’t talk about the problem. The American people are being disarmed and defeated by our own elites. These ads change that.

The Washington Post contacted the AMP for their requisite slander and smear against me for their “news coverage” of our new ad campaign. Said AMP spokeswoman Kristin Szremski, “We typically don’t react to Pamela Geller, because this is the kind of thing she does, countering political speech with racist, Islamophobic speech.”

Actually all they ever do is react to my work, and as for the Washington Post, they are consistent in their yellow journalism. Implying that Jews are leeches and bloodsuckers is “political speech.” Countering with the truth is “Islamophobic.” That pretty much sums up the war against truth and freedom that we are fighting.

The article’s author, Paul Duggan, wrote: “AFDI’s president, Pamela Geller, did not respond to an e-mail seeking comment on the ad.” I wrote to Duggan with the correct email address with which to contact me, but he did not respond. What a shock.

The Post claimed that Metro “readily accepted” our ad after losing to us in court, but actually, they required numerous sources and substantiation for every statement in our ad.

The Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, meanwhile, is giving out free Qurans in response to our ad. They never miss an opportunity for dawah. Our new ad challenges Islamic Jew-hatred, and instead of denouncing Islamic anti-Semitism and fighting against it, they give out Qurans. But they must know that if anyone actually reads the free CAIR Quran, he or she will find that our ad is correct.

We want to take this nationalcontribute here.
