Is Killing Jews An Act of Muslim Worship? @jewishtoronto

These are the opening words of your homepage and it is appropriate at this time to ask you why these words do not apply to Pamela Geller’s campaign to defend the Jewish people (and all people) from sharia and jihad and protect Muslims from their own barbarous acts against their own people, especially young women whose plight Ms. Geller has highlighted (she has actually helped many young women in distress).

Last night at the Toronto Zionist Center I witnessed a spectacular event in which Jews were unified in support of a woman of courage, a woman whose erudition, compassion and knowledge had the audience spellbound as she revealed the truth about Islamic extremism in a concise and factual way, backing each and every claim and assertion with common sense and an understanding that comes from having read and studied and lived through the problems that others have so arrogantly sloughed off because they are unprepared to accept, consider and act upon the truth.

Some at this time are still blaming others for the violence and killing in the name of jihad, as if ignoring the truth or presenting it as a problem that can be curtailed if we just give more to the terrorists and respect their way of life and their worldview. Jews, of all people, should know that when people say that they want to do us harm, whether they are commanded to do so in Hitler’s Mein Kampf or the Islamic Haddiths, the executioners must be taken seriously. Some Jews in America did not take the lead up to the Holocaust seriously; some Jews, and even some rabbis wanted to appease the leaders of the day, not upset their positions in American society, and counseled other Jews and those in power to ignore the pleas of other Jews in America who had the moral fortitude and courage to speak out against Nazism and were sensitive to the horrific calls of distress from their brothers and sisters in Europe.

Pamela Geller is one of the brave ones who is willing to put her career on the line and throw all her energy into an endeavor that other Jewish leaders have failed to understand/support and, most disturbingly, these Jewish leaders often reveal a disdainful and twisted reaction when people like Ms. Geller speak out – it is beyond sha-shtil and has entered the realm of condemning people who are for us while sympathizing with those who are against us.

I heard last night that the Toronto Board of Rabbis has spoken against Pamela Geller and support the York Region Police who strong-armed a rabbi into giving up his right to offer Ms. Geller the stage in his Chabad to publically air her knowledge and facts – and that is a shameful immoral act of betrayal by rabbis – and an act of aggression against a woman of valor.

I am ashamed of the Toronto Board of Rabbis (and others see last letter) for being so willfully blind, unwilling to listen to what Ms.Geller has to say, unwilling to allow others the opportunity to hear her warnings and the impactful story she has to tell. It is shameful that as Canadians are being targeted by those who want to behead our Prime Minister, poison our water and blow up our passenger railways, while the Toronto Board of Rabbis are speaking out against a woman who speaks to these issues with strength, courage and knowledge.

I work each and every day on the problems of antisemitism and defending Israel against those who have been molesting our rights to speak up in defense of our homeland and in defense of our rights to live without the terrorism that comes mainly from one source – jihadists – whatever form that terrorism takes, wherever the terrorists happen to live. The Toronto Board of Rabbis are endangering their community and especially Jews when they condemn that which ought to be praised and supported but instead back those who are killing our people as we speak and have vowed to kill many more in the future.

Please rescind your uninformed decision now and make your statement as public as your initial condemnation of Ms. Geller.

When challenged by an Atlas reader, Canadian Rabbi Aaron Flanzraich defended the Toronto Board of Rabbis' condemnation of me by saying that the Board objected to my "inaccurate and dishonest statements such as this one; 'Muslims slaughtering
Jews is hardly new — it's one of the highest forms of Islamic
worship.'"

Is Muslims slaughtering Jews one of the highest forms of Islamic worship, or is that an "inaccurate and dishonest statement"?

Well, Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, said that “the last hour would not come unless the Muslims will
fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews
would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree
would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me;
come and kill him” (Sahih Muslim 6985).

That means that Muslims can help bring on the last hour, and the final victory of what they think is good and right, by killing Jews. Is that not an act of worship?

Muhammad’s words and deeds are normative for Muslims, since he is an “excellent example of conduct” (Koran 33:21). The Koran instructs Muslims repeatedly to obey Muhammad (3:32; 3:132; 4:13; 4:59;
4:69; 5:92; 8:1; 8:20; 8:46; 9:71; 24:47; 24:51; 24:52; 24:54; 24:56;
33:33; 47:33; 49:14; 58:13; 64:12).

That means that the command to kill Jews is an overarching religious mandate in Islam.

Sébastien Selam was a
popular disc jockey at Queen, a hot Parisian nightclub. In 2004, a
Muslim neighbor of Selam slit his throat and gouged his eyes out. Then
he cried out, “I killed my Jew. I will go to heaven!” He clearly thought he had performed an act of worship.

Ilan Halimi was a young Jewish man kidnapped by a Muslim gang in
France. He was targeted, tortured for weeks and ultimately murdered
because he was Jewish. His captors called his family and read them passages of the Koran while his screams could be heard in the background. They apparently thought they were engaged in an act of worship as they brutally tortured Halimi.

And a recent music video that aired on Hamas' Al Aqsa TV contained the lyric: "Killing Jews is worship
that draws us close to Allah."

In response to this, what are Rabbi Aaron Flanzraich and the Toronto Board of Rabbis doing? Challenging the Muslim community in Canada to expunge the Koran and all Islamic teachings of Jew-hatred? No, they're pretending it doesn't exist and demonizing those who dare to speak the truth.

THE WRITING ON THE WALL
Have you seen the writing on the wall ?
Have you looked ? Do you dare ?
Is there something fearful there ?
Will you read the message, if at all ?
Will you heed the writing on the wall ?
Or have you now decided
“Let the warners be derided”,
So determined not to notice, after all ?
Will you let our culture simply fall?
Just leave it undefended,
Ignominiously ended,
And cowardly thus craven, cringing, crawl?
Now’s the time to hear and heed the call,
Sweat and toil, blood and tears,
Nothing there for faint-heart ears,
Come, demonstrate a backbone, strong and tall.
Never let our eyes stray off the ball.
Help re-connect the nation,
Take a pride in affirmation
Of our Western laws and values for us all.

These are all isolated incidents by a tiny minority of extremists, misunderstanders of Islam. Can’t tar all Muslims with one broad brush, can’t be stereotyping a whole religion; not all Muslims this and not all Muslims that.
Sick of it when it comes from those who have a religious mandate to murder us.
But more sickening when the excuses come from our own.

Not that more is needed to substantiate Pamela’s claim that . But, having had a change in plans, nothing better to do this evening, I will render an account from Sir Martin Gilbert’s “In Ishamael’s House: A History of Jews in Muslim Lands”. For those unfamiliar with him, Gilbert is a superb historian and writer, and definitely one the best- possibly the best- speaker I have ever heard.
Gilbert relates the story of Sol Hachuel, a 17 year old Jewish woman in Morocco in the 1830’s whose tragedy very much resonated with Western Jews of the day. Sol had befriended a Muslim woman to aimed to convert her to Islam. When the conversion effort failed, the muslimah denounced Sol to the Muslim authorities, claiming she had converted, and then returned to Judaism.
Brought before a representative of the Sultan, when accused of having agreed to convert, Sol declared, “You have been deceived, Sir: she proposed it to me, but I did not consent.” She then uttered the words, in Ladino, that became her epitaph: “A Jewess I was born, a Jewess I wish to die.” The governor responded by offering Sol silk and gold if she would even then convert to Islam. He then threatened her with the punishment for apostasy: “I will have you torn piece meal by wild beasts … and experience the rigor of my vengeance and indignation, in having provoked the the anger of the Prophet.
A series of events ensued while Sol was imprisoned with a chain around her neck, including an appeal from the Spanish consol. The Sultan in Fez appointed a senior Koranic judge, who declared unless she converted to Islam she would be beheaded and the Jewish community would be punished. Even so, Sol refused conversion and was condemned to be executed in the main marketplace of Fez.
A large crowd of local Muslims gathered to watch the execution of this girl, crying out as she was paraded through the streets: “Here comes she who blasphemed the Prophet. Death, death to the impious wretch.”
Gilbert notes that her death was retold by Jews all over the world as the tragedy of Jew entrapped by Islamic emnity toward the infidel. Allow me to note with a certain bitter taste that anti-Semitism in Europe was even more deadly than in Ishmael’s house. Nevertheless, while I suppose it is not my place to interfere in the internecine wars of the Tribe of Israel, it seems to me that the TBR seeks to expunge the memory of courageous young Sol Hachuel.

Another utterly brilliant letter – and comments here. One would think that it should open some eyes. Let’s hope so.

I would urge those congregants of affiliated TBR Rabbis to demand a retraction and apology to Ms. Geller or leave. Nothing gets the attention of the arrogant faster than a threat to their livelihood.

Rabbi Mendel Kaplan of Chabad@Flamingo, north of Toronto, had backed out of his agreement to host Geller after a visit by the hate crimes unit of local police, who pointed out that as one of eight volunteer police chaplains, Kaplan’s “connection to Ms. Geller’s event posed a concern, as it would put our organization in conflict with our long-held position of inclusivity.”

They forgot to mention in this article that the “hate crimes unit” was MUSLIM.

Ha Ha I love it.. the free internet spying on the spies!
And the id moniker there is YRP = York Regional Police and if that’s ‘Ricky’ the Muslim inspector or his Muslim friends then that is the Muslims spying on Pamela Geller.
Oh dear.. did I say that?
Will the YRP issue an Interpol arrest warrant for me?

This poor, brave woman. What a sad story. I’m sure it’s not an isolated incident either. I’m also sure it’s not an incident isolated only to Jews living under islamonazi rule either.

My letter to the Toronto Board of Rabbis
Gentlemen
While I realize I am probably not the first person to email you on this subject I would like to add my voice to those who have chosen to complain about your amazing decision to condemn Pamela Geller for exposing the world wide problem of Islamic Jew hatred.
Here is an example of a righteous woman who in the best interests of the Jewish people has chosen to stand up for us on the world stage even at the risk of being killed by one of these wonderful muslims you are so anxious to protect.
How is it in the 21st century living in a democracy like Canada which even has a Prime Minister who is pro Israel ,can you justify acting like you live in a Russian ghetto?.
What are you afraid of that you feel the need to sacrifice one of our own to these lunatics? We have no Czar that I am aware of, no secret police to be afraid of although that pipsqueak Veerapan in York Region may think he is real tough leaning on a Chasid like Mendel Kaplan, but if that is the worst threat we face I hardly consider that a reason to panic.
Are you so-called learned people so ignorant that you do not know what is happening in the world around you? Everything that Pamela Geller says about Islam comes straight out of their so-called bible the Quran. If it sounds hateful then could it be because the subject matter itself is hateful?
For 1400 years our people have had to deal with this threat.
Have you ever heard of Maimonides and what he had to say about your Islamic friends? Well boys , nothing has changed.
I could go on for many more pages citing examples of the serious problem that we are facing but I would suggest that you do your homework and try learning a little something about what it is you are defending.
A religion that treats women and non muslim minorities as second class, practices female genital mutilation , allows their men to keep sex slaves, and to top it off in my humble opinion, allows their people to lie to us (taqiyya) is a strange choice for you to be supporting.
We are supposed to be known as The People Of The Book, but it appears to this writer that you need to do alot more studying before you choose to issue your statements against those who are on our side.
At the moment you look like idiots.
Kindly reconsider your position.
