Pamela Geller to Speak at CPAC Event

It is particularly delicious that I would be invited to speak at CPAC at the invitaton of the Breitbart organization. The Breitbart event, "The Uninvited," is a special two-hour session of hot button issues, including Global Jihad, the ongoing global persecution of Christians, and the gutting of the American Military. Breitbart is here, indeed.

The theme of my remarks is "The War on Free Speech." And it gets better. Robert Spencer will be speaking at the same event, on "Why I am not a Conservative."

How delicious. Since the story broke of Grover
Norquist's and Suhail Khan's successful Geller ban, good and decent freedom loving folks have
been up in arms. Because it's not about me. It's about the subject matter — that discussion of sharia and jihad has been effectively banned at the largest Conservative gathering in the country. And now thousands of Conservatives know too, Grover, your days as the most powerful influence peddler in Conservative circles are numbered.

CPAC chief Al Cardenas called me Tuesday to he tell me how much he admired my work. He wanted to meet with and join him for lunch and/or din with him. He spoke of  working collaboratively together. What that means and where it will go is anyone's guess.

Color me skeptical.  But if CPAC has a future out of this mess — the time is now.

I did accept Breitbart's invitation to speak for the same reason that I hold events at CPAC every year. To address thousands of conservative activists who come to CPAC to get educated and activated. They don't know they have been sold out by Grover Norquist and his ridiculous but dangerous sidekick, Suhail Khan.

Larry Solov, CEO and President of Breitbart News Network, said, "Andrew
Breitbart never shied away from tackling controversial issues. He also
understood that people need vigorous and sustained discussion and debate
to make their own informed decisions. It is in Andrew’s spirit that we
are proud to host this event.”

Stephen K. Bannon, Executive Chairman of Breitbart News Network,
said, “This session is not simply about speakers and panelists, but
about direct engagement and participation by the CPAC audience. Andrew
Breitbart believed in more voices, not less, and that is what this
session will be about. We will get as many people as possible to the
microphone to ask their questions and engage our speakers.”

The session will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in National Harbor Rooms 4 and 5, from 1:00-3:00PM. So come on down — Saturday 1 – 3 pm. We are taking on all comers.

I speak last — bring the popcorn and champagne, kids. Oooorah!

The Truth Must be Told

Your contribution supports independent journalism

Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.

Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.

Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.
