TriMet said the new ad, paid for by a group called The American Freedom Defense Initiative, would begin appearing Monday.

The ad reads, "In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat jihad."

A similar advertisement appeared on TriMet
vehicles in September, paid for by a group called Americans United for
Palestinian Human Rights.

The pro-Palestinian ad read,
"47 million Palestinians are classified by the U.N. as refugees," and
featured maps showing the decreasing size of Palestine since 1946.

In a statement released Monday, TriMet said
that due to a 2008 court ruling, it is required to accept all
advertising on its vehicles, regardless of content.

"We want to let our riders and the public
know that we're disappointed our vehicles have become a medium for
divisive discussion, but at this time, we have no other option except to
allow the ad on our vehicles," said Drew Blevins, TriMet director of
Marketing and Customer Information.

This is wonderful!
Why? Because there is a voice in the crowd that speaks up to fight the typical attempts to mislead and cause controversy!
UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency), designated 59 different Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan, Syria, West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Repeat, FIFTY NINE camps.
In 1948, the United Nations decided to give the land to Israel based on the Bible’s historical account, and upon the fact that the Palestinians have 23 Arab-Muslim counties to go to. Israel did not create even one refugee camp. Ms. Geller is a pioneer in this specialized area of attacking those who perpetrate fraudulent charges against Israel. The information given above is found in Wikipedia. Additionally, one can find this data in the archives of the U.N.
However, the information that was purposely published and plastered all over the vehicles of the public transportation system, was certainly not based on any encyclopedia or documented fact! It was a desire to gain sympathy and identification with a cause that promotes lies and subterfuge, and tries to blame the existence of the camps on Israel. They would not dare blame it on the United Nations! They would like you to believe that there is only one Palestinian Refugee Camp and it was built by Israel and remains in Israel. Strangely, they forgot to mention other countries which house “Palestinian” refugees.
The Palestinians want Jerusalem to be their capital because their Imams have instructed them to demand it. However, they will not tell you that “Jerusalem” is not in the Koran. Repeat, there is not even one mention of Jerusalem in the entire Koran.
In any case, I support Ms. Pam Geller and agree with her mission to restore truth to and clarity to what a typical Palestinian propaganda campaign tried to plant by using the public’s vehicles.
Thank you Pam Geller and I wish you more of what you already have;…strength, courage, vision and determination!

I’ve been watching your AFDI battles for some time now, cheering your progress, but not feeling like it affects me too directly here on the West Coast (vs New York or DC).
But Portland is my hometown, and I ride TriMet all the time… GO PAMELA!!!!
