An unholy war in Texas July 6, 2011, World Net Daily

There is a holy war being waged against G-d in America – not against Allah, of course. Despite the relentless gains Islamic supremacists have made in imposing Islamic law on the public square, non-Muslims have enjoyed no such privileges. Quite the contrary: Non-Muslims are being forbidden to even invoke the word G-d.

Natalie Nichols

Now Natalie Nichols, a newly elected county clerk in Texas, is fighting back against a rogue court that actually voted to remove the Pledge of Allegiance and an opening prayer from the court's official records. She refuses to do it, has made it her official stance and is now actually being threatened with legal action by a representative of the district attorney's office. But Nichols is standing firm: She has stated that she would rather be removed from office than acquiesce to this.

Of course, the district attorney is a Democrat. Nichols, who was inspired to go into politics by watching Sarah Palin in 2008, was the first-ever Republican woman elected to a county-wide office in the history of Bowie County, Texas. "Since our county's been in existence," she told me, "it was just understood that if you wanted to run for office, you ran as a Democrat or you had no chance." Nichols, however, was not interested in doing that: "I wasn't about to compromise my values to get into office, and I will not compromise them now that I am in office. I ran as a Christian conservative and I am a Christian conservative."

As county clerk, Nichols keeps the minutes of the proceedings of the Commissioners Court, which are held before an audience and begin with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. While Nichols was away attending a county clerk training conference on June 13, the Commissioners Court voted to remove the invocation from the minutes of a previous meeting. Why? Nichols said that County Judge Sterling Lacy told her that he "didn't want some group like the ACLU to come in and sue."

They removed the Pledge from the minutes also.

It never ceases to amaze just how the fascist left maul meanings of words.
Democrats
Liberal
Fair
Free
I’m sure folks can think of more. The exact opposite of such words transpires in each case when the fascist left applies its interpretation.
The current buzzword in England is “progressive”. The opposite is resulting.
PC is not Political Correctness it is Political Coercion. It was invented in communist China after all.

Good for you Natalie. More people in office need to stand up for our Nation’s values. They are slowly being wheedled away while America looks the other way.

Isn’t it interesting that this one woman has more “cajones” than that judge? Is not removing the pledge and the invocation from the record a lie if they actually did them? Wouldn’t she be guilty of dereliction of duty if she were to not enter into the official record what actually happened? Could this be a backhand way of removing a (gasp) “Republican” from a “Democrats” position? Isn’t this censorship in its rawest form?

Remember the Alamo, and make those men proud, before that memory too is consigned to oblivion. Never forget, it’s YOUR country to loose, how much do you value it?

I know that the invocation and pledge are not directly pertinent to the business at hand, but isn’t there a smidge of fraud in removing such from the public record, especially considering the lame ACLU excuse. If you’re really “afraid” of getting sued, shouldn’t you just man-up and remove both the invocation and pledge from the whole proceeding, just don’t do it at all?! I’m sure that’ll go over like a turd in a punch bowl.
You go, Natalie!!!

I’m so glad to know that women like Natalie exist. Tocqueville said it was the women who made America America. He was right. Here is another example in Natalie. Before we take up arms, civil disobedience si the way to go. Its not un American to disobey the rulings set down by a pack of PC politicians. if the gov’t fails to meet the needs of its people then the people have a right to get rid of that gov’t. Many countries were destroyed by invading armies that carried weapons, but America is being destroyed by the armies of Political correctness. Liberal politicans and the ACLU can take their anti- Ameican/Christian agenda and shove it.

Removing these items from the record amounts to falsifing official government records. As a result, the Judge’s order is illegal. It’s good that at least one person in Bowie County government has some integrity. And by the way, refusing to falsify public records is not grounds for removal from public office, but abuse of the legal process is. Perhaps there should be some counter law suits against the district attorney.

Deterministic systems, ideological symbols of abdication by man from his
natural role as earth’s Choicemaker, inevitably degenerate into
collectivism; the negation of singularity, they become a conglomerate
plural-based system of measuring human value. Blunting an awareness of
diversity, blurring alternatives, and limiting the selective creative
process, they are self-relegated to a passive and circular regression.
Tampering with man’s selective nature endangers his survival for it would
render him impotent and obsolete by denying the tools of variety,
individuality, perception, criteria, selectivity, and progress. Coercive
attempts produce revulsion, for such acts are contrary to an indeterminate
nature and nature’s indeterminate off-spring, man the Choicemaker.
Until the oppressors discover that wisdom only just begins with a respectful
acknowledgment of The Creator, The Creation, and The Choicemaker, they will
be ever learning but never coming to a knowledge of the truth. The rejection of
Creator-initiated standards relegates the mind of man to its own primitive,
empirical, and delimited devices. It is thus that the human intellect cannot
ascend and function at any level higher than the criteria by which it
perceives and measures values.
Additionally, such rejection of transcendent criteria self-denies man the
vision and foresight essential to decision-making for survival and
progression. He is left, instead, with the redundant wreckage of expensive
hind sight, including human institutions characterized by averages,
mediocrity, and regression.
Humanism, mired in the circular and mundane egocentric predicament, is
ill-equipped to produce transcendent criteria. Evidenced by those who do not
perceive superiority and thus find themselves beset by the shifting winds of
the carnal-ego; i.e., moods, feelings, desires, appetites, etc., the mind
becomes subordinate: a mere device for excuse-making and rationalizing
self-justification.
The carnal-ego rejects criteria and self-discipline for such instruments are
tools of the mind and the attitude. The appetites of the flesh have no need
of standards for at the point of contention standards are perceived as
alien, restrictive, and inhibiting. Yet, the very survival of our physical
nature itself depends upon a maintained sovereignty of the mind and of the
spirit.
No one is smarter than their criteria.

Thank you Pamela,
You always do such a good job staying on top of things like this. We have been in contact before via email. FYI – Natalie the was principal host of the showing of The Undefeated in Dallas last Thursday, June 30, even in the midst of all this swirling around her.
I hope all Tea Party members in her area and other areas of Texas show their support of her and her stand. When one of us is attacked, all of us are attacked. If we don’t stick together and fight against each instance, we will lose.

“didn’t want some group like the ACLU to come in and sue.”
Why, would the ACLU win if they did sue?
