Saturday Night Cinema: Your Town: A Story of America

6

Ah, yes, before America was overthrown.

Tonight's feature is Your Town: A Story of America, a film short produced by the government in 1940. Can anyone see Obama's administration producing anything even remotely like this? You'd have to consume  massive quantities of mind-altering drugs to conceive of such a thing.

The Truth Must be Told

Your contribution supports independent journalism

Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.

Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.

Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.

Awesome video. I wish someone would finance a modern day version of this and start passing it around.

A tremendous duty statement – to study, understand, cherish and defend the institutions that made our country great.

Everything old is new again.
As a first generation American I grew up to stories of how the National Socialists took my father’s country without firing a shot. They worked for years through the media, the local politicians and the newspapers.
It fell on the deaf ears of a kid who thought he knew better, who though it could not happen in America. Now I see each and every thing my father told me happening – in America – at a blistering pace.
We think we are smarter then those generations who ushered in previous faces of socialism and fascism. Hardly.

God Bless America! History repeats itself. Everyone should share this video with their lists and post it far and wide. TRUTH HAS NO AGENDA.

Um…it wasn’t produced by the government.
It was produced (according to the opening title) by the National Association of Manufacturers, a business advocacy group who opposed the pro-union legislation of the New Deal. It’s clearly an anti-communist and anti-union film, and by implication anti-New Deal.
I’m as anti-socialist and anti-union as anyone, and I agree the New Deal was a bad idea. But for goodness’ sake, get your facts straight. And actually watch videos before you link them.

I was just about to ask how a film like that got produced by the Roosevelt administration! Thanks for the heads-up.
We do have a film like that in theaters right now — “Atlas Shrugged”. It’s getting great audience reviews. Somebody suggested that it’s best to see it on a weekend because that’s when the box-office stats are taken, but any time is a good time. If you’ve never read “Atlas” you are in for a jaw-dropping experience when you see how much the plot parallels what is happening under Obamunism.
