The Takeover and Rout of the 911 Memorial and Museum

First let me say that I think it is outrageous, a stab in the eye, that Daisy the Khan sits on the advisory panel of the 911 Memorial and Museum. What is wrong with these people? Khan has done enormous damage to the 911 families. Khan is nothing short of an intellectual terrorist, and she has caused enormous harm and pain to the 911 families and all Americans in her pursuit of Cordoba Mosque, the second wave of the 911 attacks. So why is she on the panel?

Mayor Gloomberg is the Julie Menin, Bloombat tool and Chairwoman of the Community Board #1, who rammed the Ground Zero mosque approval through the committee despite overwhelming opposition from the majority of New Yorkers (and 70% of Americans), is on the Board of Directors as well. Who do these people represent? Certainly not the victims of 911 or freedom-loving Americans. Could you throw up or what?

It gets worse. The 911 Memorial and Museum is seven floors underground, like a coffin. The proposed Islamic supremacist mega-mosque is 15 stories tall, soaring above and looking down on the cemetery of Ground Zero, but the official memorial and museum is seven floors underground in a dungeon.

The National 9 – 11 Memorial and Museum at Ground Zero is being written by Islamic apologists and disinformaitonalists. John the Culturalist has this — the Ms. Greenwald referred to here is Alice Greenwald, 911 Memorial Museum Director:  

While the National 9-11 Memorial properly eulogizes the tragic loss of life on September 11^th, it will only dedicate a small part of one of three history rooms to the question of “Who did this and why.”[vi]  Ms. Greenwald told the Community Board that her Middle Eastern advisors had told her not to use the word “Islam.”  Instead, she explained, they will use the word “Islamist” specifically to distance the connection of the 9 – 11 attacks with Islam.[vii] 

Besides the dearth of time dedicated to why we were attacked, the exhibit’s timeline greatly concerns this western culturist historian.  The one solitary documentary film in the exhibit will explore the roots of Al Qaeda.  Ultimately, we must worry that the film being prepared will only tie the 9 – 11 attack to the American funding of Afghani fighters.[…]

A wider timeline would note that Islam has been attacking the West for nearly 1400 years.  Islam took Spain for seven hundred years.  And after Islam destroyed the Christian Byzantine Empire, it gave Constantinople its current name, Istanbul.   Islam might even have taken the rest of Europe had it not been repelled in the Battle of Vienna on September 11^th, 1683.[..]

The Memorial is opening September 11th, 2011.  They have designed the rooms and the contents, but the text has yet to be written.  We still have time to change the meaning of the way 9 – 11 gets officially understood in our nation.

Kids’ small donations pay for inflated salaries

Schoolchildren thought their penny jars and bake-sale proceeds would go toward building a 9/11 memorial at Ground Zero — not the six-figure salaries of nonprofit execs.

But 11 staffers at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum each pulled down more than $170,000 in total compensation in 2009, according to the most recent filings. Four execs took home more than $320,000.

Foundation President Joseph Daniels, 38, pocketed $371,307 after receiving hefty raises three years in a row — 28 percent in 2006, when he was promoted from acting president, followed by 12 percent and 6 percent.

Museum director Alice Greenwald made $351,000, and capital planning Vice President Joan Gerner soaked up $337,143 before leaving last spring. Development director Cathy Blaney raked in $322,292. The full-time foundation employee also worked last year as a fund-raiser for Gov. Cuomo’s election campaign.

The money to pay the $5.3 million in compensation for the foundation’s 87 staffers in 2009 came from private donations — $220 million raised in a Herculean grass-roots effort to honor the 2,974 victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, and $150 million from blue-ribbon board members. More than 60,000 individuals in all 50 states and 31 countries donated to the cause.

The rest of the foundation’s money — about $330 million in tax funds from the state and the Lower Manhattan Development Corp. — is earmarked for construction of the $610 million project.

Donors ranged from Ohio high-school students who raised $14,000 by completing a 650-mile trek from their Toledo suburb to Ground Zero, to pupils at Bethpage HS in New Jersey who collected $746 in pennies.

Teacher Shawn Clincy of the Mary Volz School in Runnemede, NJ, whose middle-school students raised $1,000 knocking on doors, was shocked by the salaries. “They’re taking money from 13-year-olds who went out and collected donations. That doesn’t sit right with me,” he said.

Michael Burke, whose firefighter brother, William, was killed in the attacks, questioned the generous pay: “These guys are making a fortune — it seems extravagant.”

Sandra Miniutti, a spokeswoman for the nonprofit watchdog Charity Navigator, said the salaries were “on the high side for a comparable-sized organization.” The average base salary for a CEO of a mid-size foundation like the memorial is about $160,000, and second-tier managers usually make much less, she said.

So many remains have not yet been recovered. Why aren’t these thieves fighting for  that? Recently 72 human remains were recently discovered not far from the proposed Ground Zero mosque. Here’s this from 911 familes for the fallen heroes:

The media and our personal emails from the City (Mayor’s office and Office of the Medical Examiner) have been filled with the news of sifting taking place at Fresh Kills.  […]

For years we have been telling the City that there are many places at the WTC site that had never been excavated.  Instead of being proactive, the City waited for such awful discoveries as that made by Con Ed workers.  Accidentally discovering human remains, and being honest enough to report this discovery, Con Ed essentially forced the City to search a bit more.  There are still areas at the WTC site that have been paved over or just ignored, not having been searched.

Visitors will then descend into the main gallery via a stair right next to the remains of the Survivor’s Staircase, which was just recently put into place:

Looming above the galleries will be the recessed footprints of the 9/11 memorial pools. As reminders of the tower footprints, they’ll be clad in crushed, recycled aluminum and brightly lit, so that inside the space, they become ghostly and almost diaphanous:
