I snagged the headline from a piece William Kristol wrote for the Weekly Standard here. And while I may disagree with Kristol more often than not, he is dead on in this.
Now we know who constitutes the real Israel lobby: the American public. Especially the
Republican-leaning part of it.Consider the results of a new poll, a survey of 1000 likely voters done October 3 to 5 by McLaughlin and Associates for the Emergency Committee for Israel. (The complete survey results, including cross-tabs, are available at committeeforisrael.com.)
Story continues below advertisementBefore getting to Israel, we might note that the survey found the GOP ahead in the generic congressional ballot by about four points. That’s a somewhat smaller margin than that found by several other likely voter surveys during this period. We might also note that 33 percent of those polled identified themselves as Republican, and 40 percent as Democratic, which suggests a sample a bit more Democratic than the norm. So this was not a GOP-tilting survey.
What the survey shows is this: The American people strongly support the state of Israel, and want their elected representatives to do so as well. An astounding 93 percent of those polled say the United States should be concerned about the security of the state of Israel. A majority—54 percent—say the U.S. should be “very concerned” about Israel’s security. Virtually the same number care that their elected representatives be pro-Israel. When asked, “Would you be more likely or less likely to vote for a candidate whom you perceive as pro-Israel?,” 53 percent say they would be more likely to vote for a candidate they saw as pro-Israel, 24 percent less likely. Even more striking, the same number—53 percent—say they could not vote for a candidate if he were anti-Israel, even if that candidate agreed with them on most other issues.
So it’s not only that the American public is pro-Israel by more than two to one. It’s also that being anti-Israel is an actual disqualifier for a majority of American voters.
This is a pro-Israel nation.
In any war betwen the civilized man and the savage, you side with the civilized man. Scroll for the candidates position on Israel. Remember that when you vote. Remember in November!
Tom Gross reports: 62 years on, the continuing struggle to recognize Israel as a Jewish state
* It took only six attempts yesterday to get U.S. State Department spokesman, P.J. Crowley, to answer whether the U.S. recognizes Israel as a Jewish state.* "Nearly 63 years after the UN recognized the right of the Jewish people to independence in their homeland, the Palestinians are still denying the Jewish nature of the state. 'Israel can name itself whatever it wants,' said the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, while his chief negotiator, Saeb Erekat, said that the Palestinian Authority will never recognize Israel as the Jewish state. Back in 1948, opposition to the legitimacy of a Jewish state ignited a war. Today it threatens peace."
* Lee Smith: "The idea that mandating an oath of allegiance for new citizens is a sign of Israeli fascism is part of the delegitimization campaign against Israel. It fits so well with media blather about the decline of Israeli democracy – and the nightmarish scariness of Israel's foreign minister – that critics have conveniently ignored the fact that such oaths are normal fare in every major Western democracy."
* The U.S. oath of allegiance for new citizens, for example, requires new Americans to "absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty"; promise to "support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic"; promise to "bear arms" and "perform noncombatant" service at the direction of the U.S. government; and swear that one takes the oath "freely and without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion" in the name of God Almighty himself, all of which makes swearing an oath of allegiance to the democratic Jewish State of Israel seem like pretty weak stuff.
Here is a poster by the artistic Elder of Ziyon. Is he being fair to Mr. Abbas?
This is an updated list of the 136 Congressmen I put together who voted against Israel between 1-5 times during the 111th Congress. It's very important that these ant-Semites get exposed to as many friends of Israel as possible.

* In Bulgaria, persons of very distant Bulgarian origin can become citizens immediately upon arrival in the country without any waiting period and without giving up their current citizenship. The same is true in Croatia. China has a similar policy. And that only takes us through the Cs.

The Truth Must be Told
Your contribution supports independent journalism
Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.
Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.
Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.

I think you should remove Darrel Issa from this list. Yes, he is anti-Israel, but he will play an important role in the Obama impeachment proceedings.
of course we know that there are
peacefull and tolerant muslims
like
FUEHRER ABBAS
From what I can see the majority of those who are enemies of Israel are also those who work to destroy the Constitution, the left hates free people no matter what nationality.
Peace in the middleeast can come only when the Palestinians are puffed out. Israel cannot wage war on it’s own people; no country can agaianst it’s own people. The best for Israel is to agree for a separate nation of palestine. Obviously a war will ensue sooner or later when all the Palestinians could be sent to heaven where muslim virgins await them. Everything is fair in love and war. Koran prove it.
zat make you 6 for 6 or 142 for 142 – guess you’re still batting a thousand

You are everything that is wrong with America. Saying someone who is anti-war are anti-semitic. Don’t look for solutions. Maybe we could do something if the Jewish settlers weren’t so extreme. If they even listened to their own government and did not build new settlements, there could be peace.
If as Mahmoud Abbas said to the Egyptian media on July 28, 2010 that “I will never allow a single Israeli to live among us on Palestinian Land,” why shouldn’t Israel adopt a similar policy and not allow Palestinians to live among Israelis on Israeli land? That statement directly supports Foreign Minister Avigdor Leiberman’s position that there should be a transfer of Palestinians from Israel into the new Palestinian state, once it is established. The Palestinians can not insist on a “right of return” for one class of refugees, without a similar right for the Jews displaced from Cairo, Baghdad, Tripoli, Damascus and elsewhere following the Israeli War of Independence! Refugees must be treated symmetrically; no “right of return” for either group and integration into their new countries for both Jews and Arabs! The same standard must be applied to both groups of refugees if there is to be equity and peace! If Palestinians are unwilling to act in a spirit of equity, they should relinquish their aspiration for statehood and acquiesce in the status-quo!
Pamela that is pathetic. Suggesting someone is anti-Semitic because they voted for or against a particular resolution simply makes you look like an obsessive crank.
I was surprised not to find the name of Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democrat who represents the 18th district of Texas, on this list. Was that an oversight, or did she actually stand with the pro-civilization side on all 5 votes?
Her signature sure appears enough times in the guest books of CAIR and other Muslim Brotherhood fronts, as revealed by P. David Gaubatz in his book Muslim Mafia.
israel (the non-existent state of a fake people) will always and forever be America’s enemy (as well as the rest of the world’s enemy), I curse israel and its people forever in the name of God(or Allah for Muslims) and in the name of Lucifer(Hell’s Ruling Angel) let them be judged by both and suffer eternal punishment and infernal torment without the possibility of ever being redeemed for the atrocities and horrors they who call themselves jews have caused throughout history on God’s People residing on this planet. FREE THE PALESTINIAN AND AMERICAN PEOPLE FROM PRISON AND SLAVERY! PLEASE GOD SAVE US FROM THIS EVIL!
