Last call for voters in Tennessee’s Seventh Congressional District. Will they turn out to back Donald Trump — and the values of God, country, and Tennessee — or will Republicans sleepwalk into losing yet another special election, putting their House majority on the brink? Democrats are hungry for momentum, and low turnout is their best weapon. Everything now hinges on who actually shows up. Emerson polling shows Behn leading in early voting, but Van Epps is favored to dominate on Election Day — if Republican voters get to the polls today.
The AOC of Tennessee is neck and neck with Trump Republican. I find it hard to believe that a far-left lunatic who said she hated Nashville (!) has any shot at all.
Republicans should have every advantage in Tennessee’s Seventh District — Trump carried it by 22 points last year. But the fact that Speaker Mike Johnson is personally rallying voters tells you everything: this race is dead-serious. With a razor-thin majority in the House, Johnson cannot afford to lose even a single seat, especially not to a Democrat this far left.

This isn’t a case of a “moderate” Democrat running on bipartisanship. The Democratic candidate has shown open contempt for conservatives and zero willingness to work across the aisle. If she wins, Republicans don’t just lose a seat — they hand Hakeem Jeffries an automatic vote for the entire Democratic agenda.
What makes this moment even more stunning is the backdrop. Nashville and its surrounding communities — Franklin, Williamson County — have been magnets for Americans fleeing blue-state decline. New Yorkers, New Jerseyans, Californians, Illinoisans have poured into Tennessee for lower taxes, safer streets, and a way of life built on faith, family, and freedom. These are people leaving progressive failure behind — yet here we are discussing whether an ultra-left candidate hostile to the very culture that draws people to Tennessee could actually be competitive.
It’s shocking. And it underscores the only thing that matters in a special election: turnout. Emerson’s data shows the Democrat leading in early votes, but the Republican dominating Election Day — if voters show up. We’ll know by tonight whether Tennessee stands for the values that made it a refuge — or whether Republicans hand Democrats another surge of momentum.
