Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin was involved in a plot where prison staffers stole Ghislaine Maxwell’s attorney-client emails and funneled them to him, which he then leaked to the media in an attempt to smear President Trump.
The House Oversight Committee released batches of Jeffrey Epstein’s emails this week, revealing communications with Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, including Epstein’s 2011 speculation that Trump may have informed authorities in 2004 and denials of Clinton visiting his island. President Trump directed the Justice Department to probe Democratic connections to Epstein, while a separate incident involved leaked Ghislaine Maxwell prison emails leading to staff firings and accusations against Rep. Jamie Raskin for sharing them with media. These disclosures have intensified calls for full transparency amid ongoing congressional scrutiny following Epstein’s 2019 death.

Prison fires staff who leaked Ghislaine Maxwell emails — and lawyer wants punishment for Jamie Raskin

Workers at the Texas federal prison camp housing Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell have been fired for leaking emails in which she described the cushy conditions — and the Democratic lawmaker who purportedly made them public should be punished too, her attorney said in a fiery statement Friday.
ADVERTISEMENTLeah Saffian rebuked House Judiciary Committee ranking member Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) over the publication of messages in which Maxwell raved about her treatment at Federal Prison Camp Bryan — even praising warden Tanisha Hall for helping her send and receive documents needed for her unsuccessful appeal to the Supreme Court.
“The congressman is a ranking member of the House Oversight [actually Judiciary] Committee, an attorney and law professor. He must be aware that his conduct undermines the whole legal process,” Saffian said. “His action should be a matter for professional disciplinary action.”

“There have been appropriate consequences already for employees at Federal Prison Camp Bryan,” Saffian went on. “They have been terminated for improper, unauthorized access to the email system used by the Federal Bureau of Prisons [BOP] to allow inmates to communicate with the outside world.
