Trump Ties Soros to Protest/Riots Funding, Vows RICO Investigation, He ‘Should Be Put In Jail’

President Donald Trump said on Saturday that George Soros should see jail time as his administration weighs a federal racketeering investigation into the Democratic megadonor and his family, reported Townhall.

Trump issued his latest attack against Soros in an interview with NBC News, in which he said he “should be put in jail.”

“He’s a bad guy,” the president said of Soros.

Trump’s brief remark is the clearest indication yet that he will pursue an investigation into the Soros empire, which he has previously targeted over its “support of Violent Protests, and much more.”

“We’re not going to allow these lunatics to rip apart America any more, never giving it so much as a chance to ‘BREATHE,’ and be FREE. Soros, and his group of psychopaths, have caused great damage to our Country! That includes his Crazy, West Coast friends. Be careful, we’re watching you!” Trump posted on Truth Social last month.

The president has followed that earlier threat up with a pledge to “look into” Soros, which he made during a Fox and Friends appearance two days after Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

WASHINGTON (TNND) — President Donald Trump announced on “Fox and Friends” that his administration will be launching an investigation into multi-billionaire George Soros over allegations that he is funding organized protests across the country, which have turned violent.

Trump’s announcement comes just a few days after he was confronted at an upscale D.C. restaurant by protesters cheering “free Palestine” and calling the president Hitler. Their knowledge of Trump’s visit to the restaurant has raised security concerns for the White House.

Trump had also noted that one of the protesters was “well-dressed” and appeared to “have money,” leading Trump to question if they were paid protesters.

Soros is financing much of the left-leaning protests that have erupted across the country.

And we’re going to look into Soros, because I think it’s a RICO case against him and other people,” Trump said. “Because this is more than like protests. This is real agitation.”

RICO, or rather the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, is used to prosecute those involved in organized crime, targeting illegal activities such as money laundering, bribery, and extortion.

Just a few weeks ago, Trump called for the 95-year-old billionaire and one of his sons to be investigated for their support of violent protests.

“George Soros, and his wonderful Radical Left son, should be charged with RICO because of their support of Violent Protests, and much more, all throughout the United States of America,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Soros has donated millions of dollars to Democratic political campaigns. He was the largest donor during the 2022 midterms, having donated $128.5 million to the Democratic Party. Meanwhile, Soros’ son Alex Soros is the chair of the board of directors for his father’s philanthropic organization, the Open Society Foundations, which has supported left-leaning non-profits. Community Change and Community Change Action are two organizations which are responsible for organizing the Free D.C. protests in Washington received $4 million from Open Society received in 2023.

Meanwhile, Trump’s renewed accusations against Soros also come in the wake of political activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The 31-year-old was shot in the neck at an event at Utah Valley University. Trump vowed to bring the “radical-left” groups pushing violent rhetoric against conservative leaders to justice.

“It’s a long past time for all Americans and the media to confront the fact that violence and murder are the tragic consequence of demonizing those with whom you disagree day after day, year after year, in the most hateful and despicable way possible for years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals,” Trump said in an address from the Oval Office. “This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now.”
