MEMRI: In his July 18, 2025 Friday sermon, Florida imam Muhammad Musri, president of American Islam and chairman of the board of the Islamic Society of Central Florida, said that 9/11 was “the biggest lie in human history” and an orchestrated false flag operation aimed at launching the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. He claimed the attacks were designed to blame Muslims and equate Islam with terrorism in order to prevent the spread of Islam in the West and “extinguish the light of Allah.” According to his biography on the American Islam website, Musri serves as an advisor on Islam and Muslims to various U.S. government agencies, is a member and past co-chairman of the Interfaith Council of Central Florida, and he is also president of Leaders Preparatory School.
