In a villainous publicity stunt, Senator Hollen traveled to El Salvador hoping to bring back the illegal alien MS-13 gang member. He had no plan, no itinerary, no appointment.Needless to say, no one would meet with this treasonous clown. He could have just made a phone call from his office in Washington DC and saved the taxpayers a good deal of money. Gang member Garcia is not his constituent or his concern. But the victims in his state of violent crimes at the hands of illegals are, but of their welfare he is not even remotely concerned.
U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen has not posted anything on Twitter (now X) explicitly expressing sympathy for Rachel Morin or her family. A review of his official X account (@ChrisVanHollen ) shows no direct posts mentioning Rachel Morin. While Van Hollen issued statements to news outlets, such as the Baltimore Sun in June 2024, saying, “My heart breaks for the Morin family,” and released a statement on April 15, 2025, after the conviction of Morin’s killer, these were not shared on his X account. His X posts during this period focus heavily on other issues, notably his advocacy for Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a deported individual, which drew criticism for overshadowing the Morin case. (GROK)

he government of El Salvador denied a request from Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) to see or speak to his Maryland constituent who was mistakenly deported there, the senator said during a visit to the country on Wednesday.
The big picture: Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia is being held at a high-security prison for terrorists in El Salvador as the Trump administration evades courts’ orders to facilitate his release, despite conceding that he was deported in an “administrative error.”
The U.S. government has accused Abrego Garcia, a Salvadorian national legally living in Maryland, of being a member of the MS-13 gang, though he has not been convicted of gang-related crimes.
Driving the news: Van Hollen told reporters he asked El Salvador Vice President Félix Ulloa during a meeting Wednesday why Abrego Garcia is being held if U.S. courts and the government of El Salvador have found no evidence that he’s a member of the MS-13 gang.
