JD Vance SCORCHES European Leaders in Munich

During his address at the Munich Security Conference, Vice President J.D. Vance criticized Europe for their a retreat from fundamental values like free speech, highlighting cases like the conviction of a British man for silently praying near an abortion clinic as examples. He emphasized that the biggest threat to Europe is internal, stemming from its own policies rather than external threats, urging the continent to take a larger role in its security and to reconsider its approach to free speech and immigration.

Vice President JD Vance launched a blistering attack on America’s European allies during a speech at Munich Security Conference Friday.

Vance warned that free speech was “in retreat” across the continent, as he told European leaders that America was worried about the “threat from within.”

“The threat that I worry most about vis-à-vis Europe is not Russia, not China, it’s not any other external actor. What I worry about is the threat from within, the retreat of Europe from some of its most fundamental values,” Vance said.

The U.S. vice president cited a number of examples including the Constitutional Court’s cancelation of the Romanian presidential race, led by far right Călin Georgescu, over suspected Russian interference.

“When I look at Europe today, it’s not clear what happened to some of the Cold War’s winners,” Vance said.

Vance was scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Friday at the key security summit taking place in Germany, though this has been postponed “as Ukraine finalizes a key partnership memorandum for the U.S. side,” according to the Kyiv Post.

“No voter on this continent went to the ballot box to open the floodgates to millions of unvetted immigrants.”
